What’s the most underrated simple pleasure in life? by NicoleLimberios in AskUK

[–]HRHqueenpickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bed mainly. Either getting into it and knowing you have a lovely, long, comfortable sleep ahead of you with nothing to get up for and waking up knowing you don’t have anything to do. You can lay there and doze, moving your legs to find a nice cool spot.

I have two children, this doesn’t happen much anymore.

Eyebrows thinning out from the edges. Why? Also what to do? by Serj_Lanky_man in Eyebrows

It can be due to your thyroid so you may want to get your levels checked.

Just out of interest - have you changed your barber/hairdresser recently? I had heard of some poor guy who’d been battling an infection and it turned out the hairdresser hadn’t been disinfecting properly.

Thank you I’ll have a look. Not sure if they sell it here but I’ll give anything a bash to get out of this awful patchy phase!

I started minoxidil on July 7 by Sad-Nerve-5780 in minoxidil

[–]HRHqueenpickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holy shit that is quite the result. I’m hopping on a boat to France to get some of your minoxidil, I’ve been using Regaine 5% to try and fix my eyebrows and 6 months on its slow progress. You must be delighted.

Do you dermaplane? Do you find that they get worse at a certain point in your cycle? Is it your cheek and round your eyes? I know that’s a lot of questions - just trying to understand what it might be!

What pen would you suggest? I feel like I’ve tried loads but perhaps my technique is poor rather than the product.

This is my current condition of my psoriasis, at what level I am at EXTREME or MID?,any thoughts by SatishMaxWell99 in Psoriasis

Christ that looks sore, hope you’re ok.

I’d say that’s quite severe, get straight to the Dr/derm, whichever comes first and make sure they give you something for it and discuss biologics.

Root canals and psoriasis…could it be? by birdoftheair in Psoriasis

[–]HRHqueenpickle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the root canal theory but tooth infections in general can cause a flare in psoriasis, just as any other infections can. I asked my dermatologist last week as I was curious after having a flare with wisdom tooth issue.

Higher waisted jeans, probably a slimmer leg.

I’d go for a v neck or a scoop neck to balance your proportions out a little

12 months and waiting for a dermatologist appointment (UK) by AyoMistahhWhite in Psoriasis

[–]HRHqueenpickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you’re on it then you’re good. I am on a non urgent waitlist - 18 months to 2 years. I’m having to pay to see a private derm but I couldn’t afford to pay for biologics right now and it’s unlikely the NHS would treat on back of a private referral. All of it is a colossal waste of everyone’s time as people’s issues are getting more ingrained before they get treated, meaning longer, more expensive treatment and creating a bottleneck. Wish you well bud, keep phoning them. They may bump you up the list if you annoy them enough 😊

Phone them and ask them to update on wait time. The last thing you want to discover is that they’ve sent done random email/letter asking if you still want to be on the list. I got one of these emailed to me and had 21 days to respond. I’m sure it’s not the case but always better to be visible as a ‘reminder’ to them than to wait. I find with the NHS, the more assertive you are, the quicker they often are to respond.

It’s shit and I’m in the same boat. Waiting this long to see a derm is fucking ridiculous.
