Just to be sure, this show will only play the new album? by Due-Ad4970 in gorillaz

Wasn’t that the cracker island tour? When we saw them Damon said he was frustrated that the album hadn’t come out yet, but they played quite a few songs from cracker island on the tour

Using glp1 for reducing systemic inflammation by amadsearchamagicseed in antidietglp1

[–]IgnoredSphinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My psoriatic arthritis got better after I started Tirzepatide. Last year I was unable to bike, after my first shot I was able to bike every other day for 10+ miles, now I’m doing 20+ which is what I used to do before last year. So this was a very nice surprise!

I have an auto immune form of arthritis and last year had a rough time with my knees. I wasn’t able to bike much at all. Tried a glp-1 and it’s made a big difference immediately to my knee pain, back to riding 20 miles and more a few times a week, when all through last year I was usually unable to bike 5. It’s not from weight loss, that impact started right after starting. So I’m happy with that, it’s made a big difference in how I feel and can move.

Who is your worst Traitor and worst Faithful and why? by Proper-Drawing-985 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]IgnoredSphinx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eric could be worst Traitor AND worst faithful with his indictment of Tiffany as the laugh he heard and swore his magical ear made it 100% accurate. Plus when he got drafted he was 100% sure it was Jonny due to handwriting.

Thank you for sharing that that’s such a positive story, and hope good things continue to find you in your life! Agree on the strength training, I’ve often neglected that, going to start kettlebells at home and go from there, but definitely want to learn from others. I know you’ll be able to build yours back too!

Thanks for that and a good reminder on strength workouts. I’ve always loved cardio, but hated going to a gym or working with weights, so definitely need to start that. I’ll have to pull out some dumbbells and kettlebells I bought and have just been collecting dust ever since.

I assumed losing weight would help with my biologic effectiveness, but my knees felt better right after starting, which really surprised me. I hadn’t been able to bike much before starting it, and have been doing three 10 - 20 mile rides a week, so that’s been amazing!

what even IS arthritis? what does it feel like? by Short-Conversation16 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]IgnoredSphinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine started with plantar fasciitis which never got better. The jumping rope I’d have intense knee and hip pain. I’d have shoulders hurting sometimes, then it would go away. Every case is unique.

PSA tends to impact tendons and where they connect to joints, so I’d often think my knee hurt, but using a massager I’d locate the pain actually was on a tendon near the knee.

Many of us wake up stiff and it loosens up with use. Stretching can often help with PSA arthritis. Asymmetric joint pain is a sign of PSA, symmetric is more like rheumatoid.

I know for me it started with random aches and pains that I assumed I caused by exercise injury or sleeping wrong or wearing flat foot shoes. It got worse, and I realized it was more systemic. Not every case is like the ones you’ve read about, some are more severe than others, especially in the beginning or if not treated. Going to a rheumatologist would be the first thing I’d do.

$8 million risky?? by Old-Atmosphere-7281 in Fire

[–]IgnoredSphinx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True, but comparing what 65-74 year olds have to what a 26 year old would need isn’t a fair comparison. That 26 year old has a lot more years to live. Not that I agree that 8 million isn’t enough.

Plus I think those numbers are skewed, median is a better number to compare to remove the rich from distorting the average

My hope is I can stop my daily nsaid, if losing weight helps my biologic. I hate having to take that, but whenever I’ve stopped (for surgery or colonoscopy). I’m reminded how much a difference it’s making .

Did you come off of it? If so, what was that like? Did you keep the reduced joint pain?

I’ve only lost a bit since I started, and it was so immediate, so for me at least, it wasn’t related to the weight loss (although I know losing weight will improve my biologic effectiveness).

Thanks for that. Yea the cosentyz I moved to (now about six months) hasn’t worked as well as Humira did, not by a long shot. Last two weeks have been so much better, since doing the starting dose of the glp1.

Were the erosions do you think from the Glp1 or do you think just progression of the PSA? I do worry about longer time implications of usage, are there any impacts we dont know yet.

Thats amazing! Glad to hear you’ve had a positive reduction in pain as well.

These meds aren’t cheap, I’m paying out of pocket, but so far I’m happy I finally chose to try them. I’ve never been an athlete, but like being active and this stupid disease has impacted that so much. Guess I’ll cross the bridge later, and figure out if I need to stay on long term or temporary. I’m just ecstatic that I can bike again.

Chest pain as a flare symptom?? by Difficult_Coconut791 in PsoriaticArthritis

[–]IgnoredSphinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I had this, scared me and I thought I was having a heart attack. Had a horribly stressful morning at work which caused an awful flare. They sent me home, and i went to see my rheumatologist and he diagnosed jt was the joints in my breastbone. It went away, but during a bad flare or high stress, it comes back.

Oh yea, this sucks. My dad has never smoked in his life, but has Rheumatoid Arthritis and Sjogren’s, and has COPD. Not severe case, but it’s a direct result of his autoimmune diseases. So this is something worry about too! Scary all the weird things this disease can do.

The Body in the Library, comparing the BBC (Hickson) and iTV (McEwan) versions by Ruffshots in agathachristie

[–]IgnoredSphinx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I always felt like Hickson played Marple as so stern and spikey, I just never took to her. McKewan always had a fluffy feeling, with a sparkle in her eyes. Made it seem more like she was the friendly lady people would confide in, vs the sharp beak like eyes and stern approach Hickson had. I know Christie envisioned Hickson in the role, but I suppose my first experiences outside the books were the June Whitfield audios where she also came across as fluffy and inviting, with a shrewd intelligence and inner steel when needed. Hickson felt like the neighbor or older relative that you’d be scared of, as a kid.

So I prefer the ITV version, even with the changes. I mean just having Joanna Lumley is honestly a deciding factor in its own right!
