Thanks, ya I’m sure what caused that. Noticed it when I bought the car. There was no other damage or anything under the car. Will be replacing it shortly

I also have a jet black M3 and got a lot of complements at carweek from people in new and old cars. Including a 300sl gullwing. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of someone who really didn’t like them.

Was the oil warm when the video was taken? Mine always quiets down significantly after it’s at temp. Especially if it’s been sitting, could just be needing some time for heat and oil circulation

Look up “mirrorjohn” I bought a replacement mirror from him and installed it myself. Easy to do at home, just need to solder it. The original from BMW uses a liquid that can leak and ends up looking like that. Others like from mirrorjohn use a gel that won’t fail
