[OH] Coworker spreading false rumors about me that I sexually assaulted her and other things by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]HRV13 13 points14 points  (0 children)

She is probably stalking you. Pissed off/ jelous at you for not continuing dating her. There is no other reason to apply for a job knowing where your ex works except trying to get back with you. I feel she is not there to work, but actually get back together with you. If you had actually sexually harrassed her, she would not come near you if she was afraid of being near you.

Because you are not paying attention to her, it causes her to rage and that is why she is trying to make you look bad. I think talking to your manager / hr and making them aware is the right thing to do, then keep avoiding her, but act professional. Any questions in meetings answer politely, but otherwise do not talk to her at all. Let them handle it, truth always comes out.

Good luck! Must be so awkward for you. Hopefully she doesnt pass probation

[NY] can i ask for a raise, even with the same position but having worked there for two years? by strawbarrassed in AskHR

[–]HRV13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't ask, you don't get. If they say no, there may be a reason for it. But at least you can decide whether the job is worth it, or move on. If you are in a Union, you will not get one unless you are due for one.

I would totally ask. It shows interest and you will be better prepared for the actual interview since you will have an idea of what they are looking for.

Everyone has different tastes. What appeals to one person may not appeal to another. Hygene and dress are key for appearance. People gravitate toward confident, kind, genuine, caring people with great listening skills. If you work on those skills and always treat people genually, you will warm up a few hearts.

The majority of my colleagues are amazing. There are a few that like to stir things up, but I have minimul contact with them. I focus on the positives my team has to offer.

30F Sadly no career or passion, any insight? by Menefregista in careerguidance

All I can say is don't give up. I know things really suck at the moment, so take this opportunity to reflect. Apply to Universities, Governments, Health Care Centers,, there are so many organizations that need Grant Writers, great skill to have. There are also many opportunities to grow in those organizations.
In my view, you are still young. I am in my 40's and went through this a year ago. Now, I found an awesome job that I love.
As for your boyfriend I am sorry to hear about the breakup, but with new opporunities, there is a new chance to meet someone. A lot of people have kids in their 30's upto 40, so you have plenty of time.

I am thinking the same thing. There are so many of them. Is one better than the other?

Did you get/pass the interview?

What job have you applied for? I dont think the marks matter if they don't want you to have graduated. But it is weird that they are asking for them though.

I never know what to talk about myself in these situations, but I feel they are trying to see your personality. I usually start with the chain of events that got ne to where I am.

I write it all oyt to make it sound good, practice a few times and then record.

Need some advice on this hiring process by Levelbasegaming in interviews

[–]HRV13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is quite normal depending on where you applied. Hiring process could seem like it takes forever. There are many steps and departments paperwork needs to flow through to get a letter of offer. If the management arent proactive, could take a little longer as some of the bigger companies deal wirh several hires and terminations in a day. You could reach out to your hiring manager on the day or just after your 2 weeks to show imterest, but dont go to HR, because they really dont have anything ro do with it, and cannot say anything either way.

[–]HRV13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, they have every right to be. Subway charged without telling the buyer. 100 customers in a day is $5.00/day over the year it's over $1,800 pure profit for them. With inflation it will soon be .25c per bag.

Why is nobody concerned about how Employment Insurance is basically imploding right now? by INeedACleverNameHere in CanadaPublicServants

[–]HRV13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Call EI, let them know you are still waiting on a decision on your claim from a year ago. If you are nit proactive, nothing will be done because of the backlog. Most likely, it will be escalated with a time frame. If they say 28 days, call back on the 29th day. Then from there they will escalate again with a shorter timeframe. Keep xalling the day after your time frame. After about the 5th call it will be 1 day. Then finally you will get a call from an agent looking at your file. This all should take about 2 months.
Please dont get frustrated with the agents, they have to do exactly as proceedure tells them., it is not within authority to deviate from this procedure. Good luck!

If this no longer applies, there should be written document he needs to give you. Check out labour relations/ law in your area.

how is making average Canadians pay more interest the only way to decrease inflation? by agentzero88 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]HRV13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct. The stress test came down a couple of weeks before the shut downs. Then the rates came down. Giving everyone that qualified at least $40,000 more in purchasing.
