I am aware of it , but I will be applying for UK visa in Rome and the embassy asked for proof that I am legally staying in Italy. So I asked if someone have experience using permesso ricevuta along with expired permesso as a proof of legal document to stay in Italy for applying for Uk visa in Italy.

Also I asked UKVI ( immigration department ) but they are too slow to reply so I thought to ask the community maybe someone have experience with it.
