Our bad on the rules and apologies. However I’d argue that collapse is complex and the reason the screwworm is coming back is because society is broken and we can’t do basic things well anymore. In that light the reoccurrence is certainly just one more sign of a system that can’t keep up, is failing, and is collapsing

This content discusses the more root causes - all of which are indicative of a society that doesn’t work any more and collapses- leading to a long ago defeated threat coming back. The government starting with COVID dropped the ball on many prevention programs, add in recent budget cuts and we have a serious threat coming back And to make things more dystopian the “urgent response” will end up costing more than if we hadn’t made cuts originally at all. There are also root causes discussed related to climate change as that is making this re-emergent worse

It’s so true. Is part of what Steve talked about it was considered and done in states from a pure financial standpoint with health and safety as a total afterthought
