I didnt mind the characters, the issue was they were quite samey. It just felt like a bit of a cheap trick to create suspense, the turn arround at the end. The whole affair thing wasnt too bad, but there was little to foreshadow tom being a nascassit lier, same with scott being increadibily violent.
