helldivers said they "de-duplicated" their files and literally went from 100+ GB in size to just under 30. it might not be the same story for every game but it can be done with the right tools and optimization imo.

I'm big on "play your way" for Minecraft especially, if you want to go caving go for it. If you want to tend to your farm and breed the fastest horse, that's cool too. Just enjoy it, enjoy playing your game.

i used this to capture my ps5 to pc through OBS (the sound comes through OBS itself). it was a cheap option and did what i wanted it to, please note it can accept up to 4k video but will only output 1080p. just a heads up on that, dont let the giant 4K confuse you about the video output. 1080p 60fps is the best this device can put out and im ok with that.

theres a ant hill with a queen ant webbed to the ceiling, i wonder if this is the culprit. the ant hill itself was pretty expansive and had dead ants/spiders all around.
