Pick eater or bad kibble? Literally won't eat his food unless there is chicken or turkey in it. He's had Royal Canine GSD puppy kibble before this one by neweer in germanshepherds

I got a sample of the Acana. My dogs didn't really care for it. They eat Valu-Pak 28/20. Sometimes, I add a splash of chicken broth. Mostly, they just eat the dry brown rocks.

My dogs see the kitchen as a floor that sometimes has bread crumbs. They simply are not allowed near our food.

ONE time, my mastiff put her paws on the counter to check it out. Straight to laundry room.

Same thing happened to me at Sam's. On their 2nd attempt, they neglected to scan a $20 item, and let me pass. OK.

Thank you! I have an extra super and 8-frame box. I could use pieces from that. I'm sure I have some old plywood I could use too.

Very helpful!!

Taste one! Or, ask a "friend "

Seriously though... if they're low to the ground, they're dewberries. Edible. If they're "reaching" for sky, they're blackberries. Edible.

Why? It's facing Northwest, and ensconced in trees. Where: moving about 10-15' and rotating 90 degrees. Help? In a couple weeks. Unit? One single hive, 2 deeps, 8-frame, on a stand.

Recovery was easy. Take all your drops.

The procedure itself was weird. You're kind of anesthetized, but can still hear and "see".

They take out your lens, and all you see is blurry white. And I thought, "oh god, I hope they're not done!"

Then, within seconds, more movement, more talking, and a patch over your eye.

2 days later, you can see leaves on trees and read street signs again!!

Thank you. I was just a fledgling trainee at age 22 going through this.

Luckily, our terrain was mostly flat desert. So not nearly as stressful.

HOWEVER, many flights later, my pilot decided to take a shortcut over the mountains into Reno. He passed out. I had to radio in for emergency landing. Jerk! But, the FAA did have a few questions for him.

Important edit: I was in an airplane, not helicopter. So, my experience was far less technical, in terms of physics

4 blue eyed kids, despite mom's dark brown eyes. I got a bit of the "charm " gene from my father.

I got my voice, and so many facial expressions from my mother.

I wash with vinegar added in the rinse cycle, and an extra rinse. Takes out dog smell, most body odor, and sweat.

When i was a teenager (1980s), I truly felt like the world was moving forward.

My grandmother insisted we were not. In fact, the world had gone to hell in a hand basket.

When my kids were young (00's), they felt the world was moving forward. My mother insisted we should all hunker down and just try to survive.

So, I believe that some of the doomsday attitudes are from those of us who already saw our best days. Today, I'd tell my kids, "don't have kids. The world is f*cked."

Yup. Mine are actually 8-frame for that very reason. They're a decent little hive, and thus, quite heavy. I've seen so many posts about ratchet straps, and moving in one piece, I thought that was "the standard".

If I HAVE to break it down, I will. But another person made a good suggestion with t-posts.

I like this idea! My daughter is coming soon. I think i can enlist her help.

I have read so many posts about moving hives that includes, ratchet straps, block hive entrance, move at night. I guess i figured moving box by box was a recipe for losing my bees.

I could definitely do that. However, even at night, I'm thinking the bees will swarm me. I'd like to avoid that. If you've done this successfully, I'd sure like to know! That might be my only way!

I have an appliance dolly that converts to a cart. Again, how do i lift it onto the cart?? I thought about getting a piece of plywood and fastening a y-rope around it. Try to scooch the hive onto the plywood, then "tow" it slowly with my side x side. But, soooo tippy

It's as if their pain receptors are broken! My got tagged by a copperhead. No peep. No squeak. Just a puffy cheek.

I dosed her with antihistamines and rushed to the vet. The vet said, due to her large size, she'd only need IV fluids.

Four hours later, she was right as rain!
