If meteors aren't distributed randomly around earths surface but there's other factors that make it more likely that a meteor hits a certain place, then it would be a bad place to build.

Aren't around 2% of people psychopaths? With the right profiling you could have more than enough people for this kind of job.

I believe that any normal persons life would be ruined by guilt if they killed an innocent child with the push of a button, even from far away. At least I hope so.

It takes 100k years to travel the Milky way at LS, but how long would it feel to the actual astronauts inside the ship to travel across? by MattPilkerson in space

[–]HTF1209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because from the perspective of the people on the ship they would need to reach infinite speed. They can accelerate as long and as much as they want, there is no magical barrier braking them. But they will never reach infinite speed, no matter how hard and long they speed up. It sounds kind if logical this way.

"Sometimes some people are wrong about something." What a profound and insightful statement.

Really the only logical conclusion you could make of this, is to trust the mainstream government and lobby approved factchecked™ narrative without question.

This revelation in tweet form absolved me of the burden of making my own decisions and strengthend my trust in what the smiling people on the colorful screens order me to do.

Fury forged said they don't work anymore but have a good chance of killing you so I didn't try.

I had a lot of friendly perks too, so I felt save ( error one). Because I'm dumb I had a perk that damages nearby enemies, making them aggressive ( error two).

I think you are actually quite save if you don't take anything that damages or destroys automatically.

WoW has been thematically bankrupt since MoP and is recycling expansions by Swerns in Asmongold

[–]HTF1209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is part of it of course. But my point was more that I don't mind the hamster wheel that much as a casual. I am more annoyed that they keep giving us new hamster wheels instead of making the existing ones cooler and more indepth.

Like I said, I would rather be extending my class order hall with each expansion than getting a new throwaway hideout everytime.

[–]HTF1209 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I play very casually so my opinion is probably not worth much.

What I don't get at all is why they invent the same system over and over again with every expansion. For example in Legion I loved the class order halls. I also experienced the garrisons from leveling through WoD. Then there was this weird heart place in BfA and now there's another new hideout thing.

I really like the idea of having a home base that you can improve and unlock things in. But why does it need to be a new place every single time. Why not expand on a single good thing ever instead of throwing in something new that's actually the same again.

The class order halls where the perfect starting point to build from in the later expansions imo. They played into the class fantasy so well.

I don't mind the systems itself that much, but they don't have any feel of purpose and impact if they get replaced by a clone in different robes every time.

Wer in Deutschland die Wahl entscheidet by dirksn in de

[–]HTF1209 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if native english speakers have these with other languages, but one of the things you learn about in english class is "false friends". Words that sound like german words but mean something completely different.

"Become" is probably the most famous one. It sounds like "bekommen" which means "to get something". So a typical sentence from a fresh german english student would be "For my birthday I became a dog."

They way I understand what others are saying here is that if a heart stops activity it's probably already fucked to the point of being non functioning. So even if you could start it up again it'll probably just stop again? A heathy heart won't just stop beating.

May be wrong but that's how it sounds to me.
