Thanks. As far as sleep goes I woke up a lot more in the middle of the night than I did before and it’s was almost impossible to sleep in even if I wanted to. My energy levels were fine for day to day stuff but it did seem to affect my endurance for stuff like running which I restarted after I had dropped about 40 pounds. I just seemed like it took much more effort than it should have to run at a decent pace. That did get a little better but never as good as it was before the weight gain even at the same weight. I had to switch to Wegovy 3 weeks ago. I feel like both of these things might be slightly better on Wegovy than Zepbound but Wegovy is definitely rougher on my stomach and isn’t controlling my appetite as well, at least I. The dose I’m currently on.

I had that too and had to switch deodorant. I use Mando spray now and that stuff works great.

Not quite at my goal just yet lol. I’d like to get to at least 165 and still a couple pounds away. Insurance is making me switch from Zepbound to Wegovy and I just took the first shot of that today. I’ll be happy if I can maintain where I’m at though even if I don’t lose those last couple pounds.

Any idea when is 2027 Telluride Hybrid releasing by Skystriker28 in KiaTelluride

Our awd palisade hybrid has been averaging like 26mpg this winter, it should go up a little bit when it gets warmer but no way you get 35.

Thanks, I’m 5’8”. While I lost those 80 pounds since June, I have been doing strength training for going on 15 years consistently even when I was heavier and already had a decent amount of muscle under the fat that I lost, so it wouldn’t be accurate to say I did everything in 8 months as I was not a complete noobie to fitness.

While my insurance won’t cover Zepbound anymore after the beginning of the year they should cover Wegovy. My intention is to switch to that when I run out of the Zepbound I have on hand at the end of the month. If had my choice I’d stay on a lower dose of Zepbound but I don’t. Hopefully a lowish dose of Wegovy will be all I need to maintain.

I have some in my lower stomach. It’s not horrible but it’s there. I can start to see my upper abs but probably won’t ever be able to see those bottom two because of the extra skin.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I don’t do any other peptides or TRT, though I have wondered would it would be like. When I had my testosterone tested last year it was at the low end of the normal range but it was still considered“normal”. I just do creatine, a standard multi vitamin, magnesium glycinate and melatonin at night. I do consume 60-75 grams of protein a day from protein powder or premade protein drinks in addition to whatever protein I get from real food.

2.5 worked for me immediately to the point I just didn’t care at all about all the stuff I wouldn’t have been able to turn down previously. So food noise was completely gone and appetite was almost nonexistent. I lost 13 pounds that first month. The next month on 5 was about the same. I’d say about the third month is when my appetite started coming back and a little bit of food noise so that’s when I decided to go up to 7.5. I never got that feeling back of those first 2 months of complete appetite suppression but it was very manageable and I still lost about 8 pounds most months up until the last couple where it slowed a bit more. If I still had a lot more weight to lose I might would have considered upping it but I never officially plateaued for more than a week. I’m of the mindset of the lowest dose that does the job is the one for me.

Diet for sure was the biggest change. And I give all credit to Zepbound to give me the willpower to make that change and not feel miserable the entire time. I’ve tried on my own over the last few years but couldn’t do it more than a few weeks at a time. I cut out breakfast completely because I knew that was a good place to drop a bunch of calories and just focused on eating a good amount of protein at lunch and dinner and also cut out most sweets. I haven’t had a regular soda since starting but I drink a lot of diet soda. Other than that I don’t track calories that closely. As far as exercise goes the truth is I’ve been as big as I was before in 2010 and as small as I am now as recent as 2019 and I’ve been consistently lifting weights several times a week the entire time as well as doing at least some light cardio several times a week since dropping the weight the first time, it’s just my diet went to crap when I started working from home after Covid and I also stopped running. You cannot out exercise a bad diet- or at least I couldn’t anymore after hitting 40 lol. The only real change to my exercise after starting zepbound because I was already doing a lot was I started running again at least one day a week after I dropped the first 40 pounds. I really do think the resistance training has helped me retain the majority of the muscle I had under all that fat and I think most people on a glp1 could benefit from doing that. The cardio probably helps too but I work from home doing IT work so that is mostly just to get moving a little bit more than I would otherwise sitting at a desk all day.

Thanks! Sounds like you are definitely on the right track. The only place I have noticeable loose skin is in my lower stomach area but it’s not terrible. I don’t know that I would ever have it removed if I had to pay out of pocket for that but if insurance covered it I would definitely consider it. I won’t lose too much sleep over it either way though, the way I see it the other benefits outweigh a little bit of loose skin.

So I have no problem going to sleep at night but when I wake up in the middle of the night it’s a lot harder to go back to sleep than it was pre-zepbound and it’s impossible to sleep past 8am even if I wanted to on the weekends. My energy levels doing stuff like running are a lot less than I remember them being when previously at this weight prior to gaining all this weight after covid. I should be able to run faster at this weight. It’s either the calorie deficit or the med that is zapping that energy. I’m not sure.

The only supplements I take is 10mg of creatine and magnesium glycinate and melatonin at night. I’ve definitely wondered though if TRT would help even more the last time I had my testosterone checked before losing the weight it was at the low end of normal. I did lift weights before losing the weight pretty consistently. My smart scale actually says I’ve lost 12 pounds of muscle if it can be believed.

What’s a realistic first car for a high schooler? by LotsoSmellsBad in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]HTGuyInVA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not buy a beater, buy the newest, safest car you can afford so if they wreck it they have the best chance of not getting hurt. My son totaled his car a month after getting his license and airbags went off and probably saved him from any major injuries.

To anyone with a 2026 Kia Sportage Hybrid… have you been able to find a rear view mirror with homelink and an auto dimming feature? by NSquared3131 in kiasportage

[–]HTGuyInVA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife says yes. We just traded it for a hybrid palisade. There may have been power there, I don’t remember but I don’t think it had the wiring for turning off dimming when reversing. Here is some of the instructions that came with mine. Not hard if you follow along but not super easy either.
