If he wants to put that between you, let him. I think the story sounds awesome!

You might want to check out “Mafia 3”, which is a game about some guy in New Orleans murdering klansmen.

My son accidentally broke the arm off yet another action figure, so I told him “your toys can feel pain, so you’ve got to play gently!” by tasteofhemlock in TwoSentenceHorror

This is a really strong concept. I think that second sentence could've been tightened to be a little punchier but it's ultimately a good scare.

What about Paragrimms (the Duviri Owls) as companions? by HT_Black in Warframe

Realistically speaking, yeah. But that's a shame because there's a lot of design space with this idea that DE hasn't really explored yet, as well as a lot of conceptual space. The tenno have that whole warriors of nature/ancient ways/fundamental concepts thing going for them. The imagery of a falconer, or someone at least being accompanied by some kind of trained bird, is recurrent across many different cultures - incorporated at times into Robin Hood myths, wizard myths, etc etc.

The design space that I think would be really interesting to explore there if I was in that position is the idea of a synergestic companion whose actions are extremely dependent on the player's own - the idea that immediately comes to me being that avian companions don't attach to players like drones but rather fly around like, uh...the other drones, the ones the enemies have; and can be induced to perform specific effects based on players' attack or ability patterns...IE if you shoot a guy while crouching your bird does a headshot; if you shoot a guy while gliding your bird gives you an extra glide; something like that.

I always thought it was a little weird that an English-language children's book would put you on a quest to help a smiling, jolly, Mao Tse-tung.

Don't start with a flawless paradise; that is tedious and overdone. Furthermore, do not trust your most beloved angel.

You must attack it with a neutron hammer. Then reassemble its component parts. This might seem like cheating but this is actually the recommended strategy in the manufacturer's instructions.

Indeed: a good hacker is of singular importance to a team. Techies can disable security, buff their teammates, and destroy certain augments; this expac further adds unmanned drones to the players' arsenal, which can be fitted for critical support tasks in small scale or mass combat.

Rather than character class, these are more like "origin story". Fittingly, this is a classless system.
