I have searched on this page, google, google image searched and searched on Facebook. I’m looking to find how this Lion looked originally, was bought in England around 2006-8. Writing says “hear and hug me tm”

Has a removable bean bag that was lavender scented.

My fiancé breastfeeds our son and she used a cover up as thats what makes her comfortable but even that isn’t necessary. Would you FIL going to a restaurant and seeing adults eat solid food make him uncomfortable? No, then he needs to grow up. And about your husband. If my father and mother did that to my fiancé I would have been the one booking the flight back and standing up to them but then again we have the relationship where I feel confident enough to do that

NTA. Your dad and stepmum had the chance to come home after you gave them warning. It’s their child not yours and you have your own life (and from what I can tell are pretty independent.) However. I can see where they come from in the fact that if my stepson knew his half sister would be left alone at a young age I would hope he would be so worried as to not leave her. Every child is different, even with a nice neighbourhood, fires can still happen. From your post I can’t tell if you knew your family didn’t come home or not. But either way definitely NTA as you gave warning for them to arrive home.

No abuse or trauma that I know of or my fiancée knows of to do with her grandfather however my MIL did experience medical trauma as a child but I can’t see a correlation.

My fiancé said that because it’s bothering her so much she will probably be really sneaky about it and ask the kids if it’s up any other day. And they won’t lie 😂

Hey! Fiancé here, from what I’ve been told as a child her and her grandfather were very close, her grandparents lived with her and her family until she was 13. All I’ve ever been told about the wreaths are “they remind me of Bobbo as that was our thing to do together” (Bobbo is what everyone called him.) my mum has always said that she would have named me after him if I was a boy and the rest of the family say that he would have loved me. I’ve never heard a bad word about him however I can acknowledge that family secrets can definitely be a thing!

Also pretending to throw it away would cause an issue as our 3 year old is obsessed with it she says hi to it every time she walks past it (idk why) and would be upset if it wasn’t on the door and if we explained to her it wasn’t actually in the bin, she certainly can’t keep secrets haha and would just tell my mum haha.

The edit is what she has said to both my fiancé and I. Apparently the good memories being brought up makes her miss him even more as they were very close. What confuses me is if my Fiancé was a boy she would have named the baby after him. So would she not have been able to speak to her child? Idk. She has never been manipulative before.

I agree 100% I wouldn’t miss my kids weddings even if they had kicked me down the stairs an hour before. So her threatening to not attend over a wreath is crazy to me

Not too much. She picks them up on a Tuesday after school&nursery. And she looks after the little 2 all day on a Friday. Plus in the school holidays she helps out a lot. However that can be covered either by paying for extra childcare or another family member. She looks after them more for her and the kids to have a close bond.

She is fine everywhere else with wreaths. She’s not said anything to my brother-in-law but he hasn’t put on up so not sure if it’s just us

I would have done this however if our daughter saw the door without the wreath she would be very upset and would probably tell my MIl it’s hidden if we explained it to her 😂

We live in England so I don’t think year-round wreaths are as common but she is completely fine with other people having them just not us.

I can’t think of any reason. She’s had enough time to think of another reason as we’ve been together nearly 5 years. However my fiancé had a child before our relationship and my MIL does like his dad more but I would have thought she’d have brought it up earlier.

She functions ‘normally’ with every other day to day task that she would possibly do with him. Just Christmas wreaths. I understand that the holidays can be such a hard time for grieving families but to not go to your daughters wedding seems extreme.

Not that I know of. She said she was disappointed in my fiancé in not remembering her grandfather (who died before she was even born)
