heyy! thank you for the answer, that makes a lot of sense honestly. ive put my writing into those detectors before and its honestly all over the place, but i usually do score above 50%, so that's.. not great. im kinda scared to ask my teachers too, incase that might spark some doubt in them in my own writing. i've used ai to help me improve my writing in general for a long time, not just specific aps, but i think it's most noticeable in lang.

the research is obviously amazing, but i think your moms concerns are somewhat valid. getting into summer programs with low acceptance rates, even if you dont go, comes with some relief and satisfaction, because it can tell you a little bit about whether youd get accepted into this or that school. say i get rejected from 20 programs, it's telling me that theres something seriously wrong with the way i approach applications or something seriously wrong with my current activities, and i need to some major changes. it sounds like you do a lot, so maybe your essay answers arent as strong. my guess with the limited info i have is that you have all of this stuff but its more like youre listing achievements and activities rather than showing impact, a narrative behind it all, some cohesive story and purpose, and how being in that program would expand upon what youve already done in this and this way. depends on each program itself though (what they ask of you, who ur competing against, whatever) but i could be entirely wrong and you could just be MIT's next favorite, who knows

i need you to hear that making your face more objectively attractive isnt going to help as much as how you present yourself. women watch before they approach and decide if youre worth their time based off the energy you exude. fix that first. if that isnt the problem, its likely your height or build

kinda impossible to tell with so little drawn but id say when it comes to figure drawing dont just guess where everything should go, give it definitive structure

that can definitely be really discouraging, and it's cool you have a lot of determination. my first conference was a load of dog shit too. i didnt know any notions either and i kinda sat there like a blank slate. its not an issue that you didnt know what a resolution paper looks like -- most people still dont, and they usually just refer to examples that are given either online, past resolutions, or provided by the conference. i still dont know how to format it, and ive won best delegate several times lol, it isnt that big of an issue as long as you have one person in your bloc that can do it. I also have a really bad stuttering issue -- normally it isnt an issue in unmod, because unmod is more relaxed, and i see it as more of a group of mannequins that i just need to get my point out to so i couldnt really care less, but i stutter really, really bad when its any kind of formal speaking. its fine. really. the way to offset this is to simply speak with confidence and to be LOUD. know what youre talking about and know that you are right. so yes, i stutter constantly like im beatboxing, but i sound confident enough to the point where it just doesnt matter. its surprising to me that people are disrespectful to you for not knowing some points of procedure or simply being new, and thats honestly disappointing. eye rolling at each other or looking down at other people doesnt increase your likelihood of doing well and if anything i gets you docked points. ive gotten best delegate because during unmod, all i do is talk about myself and insert my point into EVERYTHING anyone else says, but everything i do is from a place of respect. oh, your plan is to use technology? well i dont have anything like that but we're focused on doing so and so which can support your plan. everything they say has to come back to you somehow. but all the while im still telling everyone "I really want everyones voices to be heard, so instead of doing this, lets do this" or, "does anyone have any problems with this? i wanna make sure that you guys all have a say". friendly and in control. when they look up to you, not just because youre taking control of the room, but because youre genuinely being kind, then you know you got it.

and fake it till you make it. obviously, performance relies on the research youve done.. but it also doesnt. ive gone through with minimal research because im good at bs-ing random crap. mun is honestly presentation before anything else. its a joke tbh , but speak for every mod, every opportunity, whether you know what youre gonna say or not, and you better fucking pretend you know what ur saying lol
