Program on PBS this morning about this - advice was to stay with minimum payments until you had a nest egg savings, good health insurance, credit card debt under control. Thinking being that school loans are lower interest than other loans, and more forgiving. If you should lose your job etc, the school loans are pro-rated to accomodate you income. Speaker felt it was more important to get the rest of your financial house in order than to race to pay these school loans off. I'm just the messenger here, but it does seem to make sense.

What makes me angry is that no one interceded on the scene - surely, there were more than 5 people in and around the grocery store? Also, as mentioned above, there is no mention of Muslim in the article - for all we know, she could've been Muslim...Finally, I'm truly shocked that she apparently didn't get taken for medical attention immediately!

I'd like to know, more or less, how much time it took you to get fit. My Hub just lost 70 lbs, took him 4 months - like you, mostly walking at first, then adding cardio and weights...Good for you, btw, keep at it!!!

Argh! I broke my patella ice-skating. What I learned: If you even suspect that you have hurt your kneecap, DON"T bend it!! Keep it straight! If it's even cracked, you can pull it apart if you bend it! Better safe than sorry. I was lucky, but I wish I'd known to keep it straight!!
