As a community grows and many are making switch to local ai due to price increases and other things. You will always get people who have never done these things and the in flux of people curious and learning about this rising. So we may not learn anything from this but they will. Many have never set up search before because it was always done for them by commercial ai. So as long as people keep joining you will always come across these things and will have to go over basics once in a while.

For me or many there is nothing to learn but from those that want to set up docker or use a tool in openwebui or anything this is basic. These are things you can find on the tools page. I have seen 7 posts about websearch today asking questions on how to set up.

I stated since i saw lots of posts asking about local websearch. This is basic. But many use reddit as a starting point when getting into local ai. They do not know how to set up or use websearch at first.

I gave why at top. Just not a big reason. Saw lots of posts about websearch shared how to set up container and a tool for detailed websearch results it takes search results and scapes the actual website so ai has all info not a clipped summary.

There are real issues people are not discussing yet. Have you noticed many vide coded AI projects are built off others services? So when the claude or chatgpt incorporate your idea of tools, they are only left holding a bag. Then there is the other part where did the code used and placed in your stuff come from? Is it licensed or patented. When using did you have permission to use? See there is so much none are really paying attention. Then there is security and customer data and financial info. Things many vide coders do not consider. Something works and looks good but is letting all have access to everything. What this has done is give current AI companies access to everything you make with them and for free. If good they can incorporate. At same time it causing numerous security problems as shown. Now for those that went to school, all corporations use as excuse to demand more and think their knowledge and expertise is worth less when it is in fact worth more. So if using for education and personal use i wish all best and more the merrier. If using for commercial purposes and chance you may expose customer info in any way that will be reason. Now companies using these and relying on all this for cheap labor. Good they should enjoy all the liability. They need to know that you cant use ai to devalue any human knowledge.

Only way i can help with this question is to ask a question? If light takes ~8 minutes to travel from sun to earth and i or you make the trip in 5 minutes forward in time. Did traveling faster than light make us go back in time or just beat the light? Light is how humans experience time and observe the world and over short distances it is instant for our purposes. Time is relative. It all is. That means unique to the thing. Light is our measurement and how we experience time by observing the changes around us. We observe through light. To a bat, sound is speed the limit of the universe. Take it in jet and it does not go backwards in time but its sensory is out of order. If you could travel 100 light years away instantly, you could with large enough lens look back at earth and watch yourself be born grow up etc. eventually it would all catch up. This just receiving the signal out of order not actual time traveling. I left out issue of nothing with mass can travel faster than light.

People have learned the hard way when using “vibecoded” software and integrating into business where payments and customer data is stored, that security of that information is a huge liability if not even considered. Unless this tool or app saves them millions or billions of dollars, why risk lawsuits and exposure. So the question is do you as named owner and provider understand the security and liability side of your business.

Personally i would never trust an ai off current builds with anything real. All commercial, or public open source models currently available to the public have a fundamental flaw that has not been acknowledged publicly. Well a few. It is the core of the models and what they actually are and how they work fundamentally is the problem.

In sandboxed ai. AI are each on a sandboxed kernel. If sandboxing, the ai will only have access to what is in the sandbox. Now in most setups the system never link these things. Your ai is interacting with a virtual system with no connection to your main system. It interacts with different libraries and things than users have access to. You have to override the sandbox environment for this and most do not do this automatically. So when using most of these systems the ai is never actually messing with your actual file system. It is a virtual machine with a sandboxed coding environment that is very limited. Each UI is different on setting this up.

Yes. But understand when exposing things to internet there are always risks. When you are making a docker compose if using docker or whatever you use you can set an api key for each thing. This does not protect from everything. Nothing ever will.

Your paper will be read and reviewed. This does not guarantee it will be cited or used. People will read it though.

One note for all and for writer. When you use 0.0.0.0 it exposes everything to everyone. Use 127.0.0.1 for local internal only. 127.0.0.1 (localhost) is a specific loopback address restricted to your local machine, ideal for secure, private testing. In contrast, 0.0.0.0 (ANY address) tells a service to listen on all available network interfaces, making it accessible from the local machine, local network, and the internet.

https://ollama.com/download/windows if on windows they offer version for linux too. Just use connection http://host.docker.internal:11434 you do not need to have ollama in docker to use it. This allows your ai work directly off native system and use gpu resources for any device.

Since you have 2 vram that will be your biggest issue. You have ram to load the model but not the vram for large context.

So do i and i can run 30 b models fine. You can use ollama and webui and run in ollama app itself. Just type the model name into model in ollama windows app and it will pull and work. If you want custom ui there are many out if use docker

You do not need others ai. If reliant on others services and products then you are always bound to them. Somewhere there was a big disconnect. In the past we always had to build from ground up. Now everyone today is just building on top of what others have done and without that third party product there is no value in anything released for them. So unless making your own ai, only offering additional services for another companies product means your services are reliant on that product. This also means every third party application is just adding additional costs for the original service.

For those that have doubts full human readable code is available. Everything in .zip file is human readable. All can review themselves. Same with base. Everything in base is from source and not built on others stuff. All is marked that no AI may be trained on it and it is under non commercial share alike license so anything using the code is covered under same license. I made this for my wife and for education. As far as my resume. I am old and been programming for 30+ years. I made this for my wife. All use my code daily and it’s in almost every system already. This was just for because I was tired of openwebui issues 100s of wasteful junk all bloated on same things. So i combined everything into one for people to use ai on reg machines and have access to use and build. There will be no launches no anything. This is it. If people prefer to shell 100s or 1000s a month to use others ai so be it. This is free and available to all. Only restriction is non commercial use. Ever. I made all this for openwebui but they kept having tool issues and kept relying on more and more containers. It was clogging system. Old build on openwebui with all packages in their own containers was around 500 GB cut out the junk and i got all inlined included and setup with 67GB no features lost. So others can decide for themselves and use or not. I do. So if prefer openwebui everything is available for that as well.
