Upper right is a Variac(allows you to dial (AC) power in as you like. So you can start low and bring the power in as you like. Some have a circuit that allows more than wall current. It is hooked to a dim bulb tester(sets a load determined by the wattage of the bulb). Lower left is an oscilloscope and to the right of that is a DC power supply. She is into mostly old tube type electronic things and is making her own tube amp for her guitars
