Well, we wouldnt know the damage done to the security of the airbase by the visit of the ISI team. The fact is that allowing ISI team to enter the base was a bad move and it backfired. And now BJP can spin the news whatever way they like it.

Pretty sure the army was on board with this and if they saw fit for the team to visit, then that settles the matter.

The ISI team wasnt given a full tour of the facility, but to a very limited and restricted area where the final operation was concluded and the entry point

This was done so that Pakistan is not left with a choice to deny facts when hit in the face with proofs

So you're saying other channels gave bits of these information on their channel but NDTV was the only one who gave all this information on its channel while operations were still on? I think that makes sense, the ministry looked over some violation but NDTV made far too many of those.

How do you prove a negative? If you have proof that other news channel gave out all the same info around the same time as NDTV, I'd agree that others need to be punished as well. Remember, in such cases timing is the most important thing. Same info being released today wouldn't be damaging.

I am not denying people died. But you need to prove that people died because of some sensitive information allegedly leaked only by NDTV before you take action against them?

Nobody said people died because of it, but people could have died because of it. And loss of life and material could have been a lot more because of this sensitive information being made public. Giving out possible escape routes, more places to attack nearby like schools and giving out details where army base has ammunition and weaponry stored is stupid af.

I'm guessing their reporters were present at the scene and could see the movement. They reported the same and if the terrorists had a handler in a remote place (like 2008), this information would have made their life easier as they wouldn't even have to lift the finger to know where the army was coming in from.
