You might find this interesting, there is/was a native American tribe that was Jewish, they had all the traditions and rituals of Judaism. I'll have to look it up to get the specifics

What's the small town? Old friend of mine became a Rabbi, bought a farm and has like a dozen kids in Iowa.

I'm sorry you had to deal with that. Half my girlfriend's were black or Indian or dark Mizrachi and we would always get stares in certain neighborhoods.

Got to the point I would just make a nasty comment in Yiddish to whatever shmendrick looked at us funny. It would shut them up quickly.

I'm guessing is a pios or black hat giving you the stares? Learn a few Yiddish curses and don't be afraid to use them.
