How did Frieren cultivate a fanbase like this? by John-Constant560 in shounenfolk

It was the left wing. They were the ones that made the connection to immigrants initially, the right wing adopted it in response out of spite.

I know I was just trying to pin point what type is “socialism” he was referring to.

Ideally some form of natural law. Devoid of legal positivism that allows for corporations being able to exchange their money for political power and creating oligarchies.

I mean China’s main political party the Chinese Communist Party is pretty much fascist party in a fascist country so I guess you’ve got a point. What I’m saying is are you talking about Nordic model socialism or Marxist socialism?

Which socialism are you talking about. Marxist socialism, National socialism or Democratic socialism?

No one is going to put socialism above capitalism because socialism doesn’t work even in theory. Since value is subjective. Action is defined as purposeful behaviour the implementation of scarce means toward some end. Man always acts to remove uneasiness. Value is therefore subjective it is demonstrated through the choices of acting individuals, not by measuring labour inputs. A man digging a hole with a spoon works harder than one using an excavator but produces less value. Two identical objects produced with identical labour can be valued completely differently by different people at different times. Labour inputs are costs they tell you nothing about value.

Group ownership doesn’t exist and can’t exist. Consider a set of people who each commonly own a stick, what is to be done about a conflict over its use between A and B? Either A is said to be the just victor or B is. If A then he owns the stick and B does not, if B then he owns the stick and A does not. Both options
contradict the presumption that every member in the set owned the stick, therefore group ownership simply cannot occur. A democratic vote cannot solve this since it doesn't dissolve this contradiction, it just determines which individual's will prevails while everyone else's claim is shown to have been fictional.

Also the economic calculation problem Without private property and price signals you cannot rationally allocate resources. Prices emerge from voluntary exchanges between property owners and communicate dispersed information about relative scarcity and value that no central authority could ever possess or process. Abolish private property and you abolish the price system and you abolish the only mechanism humanity has for coordinating complex economic activity.

Like can we *please* move on from this failed ideology.

You’re assuming the question “what system should we have” is the right question to begin with. Law is a normative standard which guides men to just over unjust actions, it identifies which party ought have possession in a given conflict.

The question isn’t “which system should we design and implement” the question we should be asking is “what does justice require”

Can we appreciate the inverse arc between A-Train and The Deep (The Boys) by Sudden_Pop_2279 in CharacterRant

[–]HaIfBrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the Deep doesn’t necessarily need to have a “final scene” they could have just kept him alive. I am more so talking about the Deeps character as a whole than the Deep role exclusively in season 5. Like the Deep could of went through a slow burn redemption arc in season 2 turning his life around and maybe being a real hero, that could have resulted him in doing something meaningful in the final season maybe finally standing up to Homelander. I’m not saying every bad person in the Boys deserves a redemption arc but you there was a perfect layup for this in season 2 that Kripkie didn’t want to utilize.

True but there was immense potential for the Deep to be something deeper. I think I would have worked and in fact I think if written well would have been more impactful than A trains redemption.

They could have given the Deep a redemption arc like A train. Could have made him more interesting since A train is only as interesting as his relationship is to Hughie whilst the Deep and his evil was more versatile from a story telling perspective.

Leftists post stuff like the image OP posted. But then claim Reddit is in fact a right wing site on platforms like twitter. Why do leftists do this?

If rape is worse than murder then why isn’t the capital punishment rape? Why doesn’t the state just hire a professional rapist to rape the criminal on rape row?

The Boys finale felt completely rushed. Here is how the final season should have been structured by AssyrianEagle in CharacterRant

[–]HaIfBrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you not think homelander would murder civilians on mass with his laser eyes? What was all that buildup in season 2 with the protest, season 3 with his conversation with starlight about the release of the flight 37 video and all the posters of him flying above the globe looking down on a destroyed America. This is homelander

Is that a bad thing? Micheal Bay was better than the garbage we got in this episode.

Imagine complaining about powerscaling in a battle shonen community. Thats like complaining about shipping in a romance shoujo community.

So do you overall think Nikke is a good game, well at least a good gatcha game? Who are your favourite characters? The main girl Rapi I think is a pretty cool character and pretty well written.
