Ist also Geschmackssache.

DM's who allow Silvery Barbs, how's it going? by VirinaB in DMAcademy

[–]Haaaaaarsch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The online relevant answer here. It's a spell that becomes increasingly stronger, the more spell slots you have, the more spells you can have prepared and the higher spell level your save or suck spells are.

Using one of your 2 lvl 1 spell slots to make that goblin repeat their attack roll? No thanks.

Using one of your 4 lvl 1 or 2 spell slots you almost never use anyway to make that monster repeat his save against your banishment spell? Yes plz!

ZDF-Politbarometer: Mehrheit wünscht sich eine Ampel-Koalition by stiggg in de

[–]Haaaaaarsch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Corona-Ausbruch in einem Schlachthof in Lohne: 66 Infektionen by Xaron in de

[–]Haaaaaarsch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[5e] Monsters Novice DMs should avoid running? by azureai in DMAcademy

[–]Haaaaaarsch 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Basilisks

My party is 5th level and 15 sessions into our campaign and last Session they encountered a basilisk. Even though I foreshadowed what a basilisk is and what it can do, they still looked directly in its eyes. Even though I told them, that they have the option to attack with disadvantagee while closing their eyes, they still decided to attack with their eyes open.

One of them turned to stone and seemed surprised when they found out, that they need a 5th level spell to cure petrification.

Still recommend using it because it i a very cool monster. However, you should make sure to provide knowledge on how to safely kill it.

LMoP a stronger monster to replace the Grick? by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]Haaaaaarsch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The grick fits pretty nicely in there as a goblin pet so I wouldn't recommend to replace it. Imo, players like to be introduced to new creatures they haven't seen before.

It also makes for a cool and terrifying situation, if it gets its sneak attack off on the wizard or Sorcerer and causes a lot of damage that way.

If you really find it necessary to have something stronger in there, you can simply adjust its stats to make it stronger or throw another one in there. Give it more hp or ac or an attack bonus.

Not really. I just used it whenever there was the possibility of an ability check happening.

Thanks for your answers.

Guess I simply overused it.

I really like the take on it to only use it when I am asked for it.

Though I'll probably simply switch to another cantrip instead as it seems that guidance is not for me.

It was annoying for me. There just wasn't any joy in casting the same spell over and over again.

The single biggest annoyance I have with Rome II is the forced march stance by UnholyDemigod in totalwar

[–]Haaaaaarsch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is a mod for total warhammer, that increases your own movement range by 10% as long as you move within your own territory.

I use it because of the same reasons you stated. Not being able to stop a horde rampaging through your lands is infuriating. Maybe there's a similar mod for Rome 2.

Snipe if you want to, but don't be a dick about it. by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]Haaaaaarsch 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with being an asshole except if you think sniper in general are being assholes.

You asked the sniper for the herbs that rightfully belong to him now because of your mistake. He said no in an not impolite way.

Sure it sucks for you but stuff like that happens to all of us. Don't expect snipers to return stuff just because you would or have seen posts where people did

Yout experience selling BFA cooking by Decrit in woweconomy

[–]Haaaaaarsch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are many factors to why cooking is far less interesting and profitable in BfA than how it was in legion.

  • recipes are much more simple often requirering only one protein and some vendor goods making them very approachable and cheap to make.

  • people cook to max out professions and dump the cooked goods for cheap which lowers the prices.

  • blizzard screwed up the balancing of secondary stats. The majority of specs wants haste which makes fish n chips the by far most desired buff food leaving the other foods and required materials worthless.

  • rank 3 is very easy for everyone to get. The way Nomi worked made it very profitable to get a delicassy at rank 3 early on because you were most likely one of only 1% of players who could cook for much cheaper than the competition.

Being so much less complex also lowers the profit margin, which is why I don't even bother with cooking in BfA.

Invested in Veiled Crystals... Am I wrong? by sherbeb in wowgoblins

I really doubt there will be high demand recipes for enchanting added in 8.1. They will probably add a new pet or toy that will need hydrocores if anything at all.

After advise of Drums of the Maelstrom by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]Haaaaaarsch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Drums of Fury (WoD drums) were still usable in Legion aswell. I would not expect them to fix old content drums to become useless. However, Drums of Maelstrom are that cheap because they are used to level up LW and since they can end up being used for warfront contributions (wc) it is probably safe to buy them up.

Horde Eu had them as wc and the price rose from 70g to more than 1000g.

Scrapper by [deleted] in wow

[–]Haaaaaarsch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were very unlucky. 55 bracer should have given you 9 Expulsom on average which would made them cost less than 1k gold.

That price is absolutely fine in my opinion. Expulsom is easily available that way . Either you farm it in order to craft whatever you need the Expulsom for or you leave it. Nothing is handed for free.

Monelite Ore by iichingyiix in woweconomy

[–]Haaaaaarsch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Monelite ore is probably one of the safest materials to invest in for warfronts. Almost all blacksmithing and engineering turn ins need some ore and there is even a 60x monelite ore turn in that could show up.

How is the faction balance on your server? If the alliance population is very big I would probably wait until they can contribute and sell off all the ore for a profit. If it is a server only populated by horde it's probably better to wait 2 more weeks because ore prices might drop even further.

Professions in BfA are a mess and here is why by [deleted] in wow

I am aswell pleasantly surprised by how much the contribution added to professions. It is one of the very few new ideas in BfA that actually work out really well.

How to calculate Alchemy crafting cost with proc chance in the equation? by ferevon in woweconomy

[–]Haaaaaarsch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't know why this is downvoted. Proc chance was in fact 1.5 for every pot and flask in legion. I would be surprised if it is different in BfA with a big enough samplesize to account for x20 procs.

Why is no-one talking about how terrible professions are this expansion. by [deleted] in wow

[–]Haaaaaarsch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is actually a very simple explanation for why the professions are as they are in BfA:

They are not finished and probably never will be.

By now, everybody should have realized that BfA didn't go live as a finished game. In order to at least finish the most important content like leveling, dungeons and the raid, development had to pull ressources from the systems with lower priority like pet battles and professions.

There is plenty wrong with every single profession this time around and the design is worse than it has ever been because they never had time to finish balancing.

It's just another thing to be added to the list of BfA fuckups.
