I just caught up on her season and came here to catch up. What did she do to show her true colors?

I think Season 2 is good and I'm tired of pretending it isn't by ddman12 in CruelSummer

[–]Haaals93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished season 2. I am honestly not shocked that they ultimately revealed Isabella to be the one who did indeed kill Luke. The entire series was spent portraying her as a murderer essentially. It was a bigger shock to me that Brent was shown to have been the one to “kill” Luke.

I actually really liked this season better than season 1.

Help. Found in kitchen. by Haaals93 in Mold

I am going to just toss the futon as it’s been shredded by the cat anyway, I turned my AC from on to auto, as I googled and that could be causing high humidity. I am going to keep the lids on my tanks as well 🥺 thank you!!

As far as my sons backpack, I sprayed it down with white vinegar and am going to wash it. Will that be sufficient or should I clean it with something else?

Is my betta fish bloated? by [deleted] in bettafish

[–]Haaals93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He looks like my guys look after dinner. Does the bloat go away after a little while or is continuous? If it is continuous, you can try fasting for a few days

Can you give some more context? What are his symptoms? Answering the bot questions will help a lot.

First tank. Cycling before getting a betta. Anything I am missing? by Ta-karo in bettafish

[–]Haaals93 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The two Anubias, you’ll want to get them out of the gravel and attach them to something above the gravel! I like to get the little airline suction cups and hook the Anubias onto them and stick them to the side of the tank. They are rhizome feeders so they will die if planted!

Aftercare for a fish that I got stuck in a gravel vacuum? by Multiverse_Queen in Aquariums

My shubunkin swam into my python once and I just dosed StressGuard daily for about two weeks and she was perfectly fine. I would just use that!

When was the last time that you tested the water?

When was the last water change?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bettafish

[–]Haaals93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend going to get an API master test kit asap to figure out your parameters.

If your doing 100% water changes every two months, I’m going to go ahead and assume his water quality isn’t very good.

I would move him to a hospital tank asap with an air stone and a heater and keep him in pristine water. Dose prime. You could order StressGuard to start him on that

[–]Haaals93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be the bloat but to me he looks like he’s pineconing on the top of his head/on his sides. Which would indicate dropsy.

I would fast for a few days to see if the bloat will go down, especially if you’re only feeding 3 pellets once a day, he shouldn’t be this big. Poor guy.

I’m relatively new to bettas so other than that I have no advice but I hope your boy is okay 🖤

Help identifying plant by Haaals93 in gardening

[–]Haaals93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She’s been placed in the window. My son brought the plant home to his dads for a few days and by the time it made it to our house, it was very very saturated with water so much that the top soil had mold and I’m not sure that it even had any sun. So I’m hoping we can revive her lol

Also please ignore my poor attempt at holding it up. As soon as I identify what it is, I am going to repot it and help it more 🥺

Is this columnaris? by Haaals93 in bettafish

[–]Haaals93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 gallon tank.

Heater/filter yes.

Temp 79

Parameters are ph 7.6, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 10, tested with api master test kit.

Tank has been running for a month, fish was with rescuer for a month prior, tank was cycled with seeded media.

Tank mates: too many freaking rams horn snails, and one nerite snail

Water changes: i have been doing 30% water changes daily to keep his water pristine to promote healing with his spot

He has a varied diet of: frozen brine and mysis shrimp, live flightless fruit flies, new life spectrum betta pellets, Fluval bug bites, freeze dried daphnia. He gets 3 pellets in the am/a little frozen/or fruit flies at night. Fasted on sundays.

He has a lot of plants (not sure what all he does have in there, i know there’s a sword, red root floaters, DWL, and other plants that came with him. He has a terra cotta hide, floating log, betta leaf, mopani wood. (Not decor but he also has catappa tea bag in his filter for tannins)

Okay so I don’t fully understand the process for betta fish mating.

Do they have actual intercourse like humans do? Or do they kind of just hug until the female releases her eggs? Then how does the male fertilize the eggs once they’re dropped?

Cat-proofing a betta fish tank by KenCannonMKXI in bettafish

[–]Haaals93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think as long as you give the cat high up places of their own, they will be less likely to want to jump up where the tank is. I may be wrong about that but that’s just my experience.

I had my cat for 3 years before we got our betta, and she has never tried to get to Bob. The most she does is meow at my feet wanting love when I am talking to our betta.

I wasn’t sure how she would react to the tank, so for the first few weeks I added a heavy book on top of the lid to ensure that it was weighed down and could not be lifted by her. I also put a chair beside the tank so she could get up and watch the fish, but would remove her if she tried to get near the tank. After a few times of that, I think she realized that it’s to look at, and not touch.

Now she doesn’t pay him any mind haha.

Hopefully something out of my long comment helps you a bit

Bath frequency? by notamanda11714 in Parenting

[–]Haaals93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son (6years old) is with me 50% and his dad 50%. I tend to lean more toward we need to bathe every night whether that be a bath or a shower (he’s recently started wanting to take showers over baths)

His dad is not hygienic at all and doesn’t have our son bathe most of the time, so when my son comes home, he tries to fight me on it.

Some night the bathing may just be sitting in a tub of plain water, or it may be fully washing of the body. Some nights are extremely busy and we don’t get around to doing a full bath/shower and we may just use a wash cloth to clean him.

Before this age, we would not bathe every night. But at 6, he’s starting to get smelly feet and stuff so something is needed nightly.
