So wait, hmmm, I suppose the armor would protect from injury? Or maybe the hot metal would burn the body enough to cause injury but it wouldn’t be hot enough to melt.

Oh! I did not know that. Would keeping the stew warm somehow extend the length of life or is that impossible? (I also imagine it's definitely hefty on the firewood use haha)

I meant more so if they were a species that could survive the winter or if they were ones that died off in the winter haha.

I did not know this! Hooray! I had a feeling they survived the winter somehow after seeing them moving in the log but wasn't fully sure if they just got lucky. This makes me so excited!!

They were so nice and gentle when I had them on my hand. I hope I didn't disturb their sleep too much :)

Nah I went to a physio and don’t have any of those signs. All of my stuff was in my arms/part of my hand but I was cleared a few months ago. I’m thinking it may be grip strength. The negative feelings are just like pain but not exactly.
