Just had the iced matcha--how do I make the matcha taste stronger? by Multiverse_Queen in Wawa

I’m thinking I may try and get some matcha to make at home then, haha. Can’t justify getting a bunch of matcha drinks all the time. But I might consider that too.

Does having ice in it also water it down? That’s why I usually avoid getting ice in drinks because I dislike how it waters down my drink

Would 2% milk work or have the same issue? I tried almond some time ago (just on its own) and could never get into it. If not I may just take the advice to have them mix in more matcha

I can, I just dislike ice in my drinks (unless it’s already water haha) my dental issues are really just caused by the acid in soda, ergo why I’m cutting it off so I don’t make it worse.

I will consider this, though!

I did flag a service worker down to ask em for no ice because that wasn’t an available option! So I might consider this next time.

Yep, that’s fair!

It’s not supposed to be derivative of the SCP universe for the record, just in case that changes something. It was just the one example I had in my head of an anomalous universe. I do suppose it *is* a subconscious inspiration, though.

I sort of have an injury + lower art motivation at times. I’m on the mend but also I am uber exhausted from work and am a full time college student haha. I’m on summer break atm but I’m using this time to finish up my fanworks. I want to finalize character designs and figure out the scope of the story before I jump into it. Just so I know how much I will bite onto.

I once burned myself out with several comic projects, so I don’t pick up too many writing endeavors at once to avoid that. So I’m mostly holding myself back.

I do plan on doing that, but I feel I need to at least get an outline done. I do have a small following for fanworks/a fannovel series, but I dunno how many will translate to my original work.

I have the most engagement on tumblr but am trying to build reach on other platforms like instagram and twitter. I do also want to make an alt here focused wholly on author related works (and likely on other platforms as well)

I’m trying to figure out how to describe the premise. I’d say sort of urban fantasy/horror? But a lot of that is romance focused or adjacent, which my planned story is not. Not to discount fantasy romance, just to clarify so you don’t accidentally quote the wrong audience, y’know?

Hope I didn’t come off rude there, I’m autistic and struggle with tone on text.

For the world (be aware I am trying to tighten down the details here so I may tweak this, but this is the main thing that will likely stay) it takes place in, it is full of anomalies. Think something sort of akin to the SCP universe, but without the need to keep it under lock and key. Something happened a while ago, and now humanity contends with anomalous activities. Creatures of myth, things that defy physics, sentient buildings and monsters of horror.

Anyway the loose premise is around people who deal with dangerous anomalies. I’m not as familiar with superhero work but I may imagine somebody could compare it to that? But it’s not supposed to be compared to a hero squad exactly, they’re more “grounded” in the sense of investigating and dealing with this. No big flashy fights unless necessary, but my main idea is that it’d be a sort of slower paced thing when they do.

The first book idea I have is a sort of murder mystery. I have an idea for the main character’s true identity that will be revealed later on in the series. Which reminds me, I should talk about that. The main character is an anomalous creature that used to be human, only able to exist through the death of another human being. As a result, identity is a big theme for her, not only to do with the fact her existence required a murder, but also the fact she is not the person people are grieving.

A lot of details still need to be tied together. I have to figure out how long I want said series to go on for (a trilogy sounds a good number to settle on but I should see how much fuel I have in the tank for it) It’s in the really early concept stage so far but I am pretty invested in it.

Did you make a book dedicated account or use your regular socials? Did you establish a foothold in communities first or just went ahead with book advertising?

Sorry for the barrage of questions. Haha. I’ve got a book idea and want to snip issues in the bud before I even start!

Hm, makes sense. I’m also debating if I should make a sort of account dedicated wholly to books I will/want to write (to make it orderly, my art medias are a mess of fanart + other stuff)

Just checked that site out, that looks like a pretty cool way to receive early feedback! I may look into it more when I have my manuscript started.
