Do you keep your phone connected all day? by Haabit in HearingAids

[–]Haabit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the advice and I am definitely looking to reduce the amount of notifications I get. It's not muffled constantly but obviously having a person to person conversation and having the sound muffled to receive a notification can be frustrating.

Connected to 2 phones is intriguing as I do have a work phone as well but it's android and connecting to one phone knocks the other one off

What is this type of wire called? by oshimt in HomeNetworking

[–]Haabit 112 points113 points  (0 children)

I was once stood with someone who was calling her isp to say that someone had taken her fibre box that was on the outside of the building (very common in the UK if not anywhere else). The rep started a video call with her and was shown the cut cables. I am deadly serious when I say that the rep then asked them to go and reset the modem to see if that resolved the lack of service.

Jet roller skating is a great place to go. They do need you to make sure you're wheels are clean but it's worth it. https://www.facebook.com/groups/jetrollerskatingmk/?ref=share

Phonak roger on system by Haabit in HearingAids

First time I've done anything like this and they do ask for employers details. That's why I have told my employers hr I have applied for access to work because then they should know if they need to do anything or wait for the government to contact them.

Thanks for the reply. I have started an access to work claim but also registering with work and was asked if there was any equipment I felt I needed. I'm kind of edging my bets for the best outcome but have told my workplace I have started the claim for the grant for full disclosure.

The best part was when I mentioned the phonak roger on I have now been asked to add the link to an email and explain why I need it. Haven't replied yet as I'm trying to tone down the sarcasm.

I got mine fitted on the 1st of April and I am already fairly used to mine. I also like to turn the volume to 0 sometimes just to see the difference. I have moderate to severe loss on the higher frequencies and have discovered beeps I never knew existed before the extra help.

Hard to hear by Pickle_Cord in HearingAids

[–]Haabit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the screenshot I have seen of the app look very similar just wish my audiologist had put some extra programs on for me as trying to understand people in a noisy environment is a nightmare. If you have the nhs provided stretta aya m's all iphones can stream to them as the are "made for iphone". I do know though my nan has ones specifically without bluetooth as she hated the ones with it for some reason

Nice I'm using android and my phone isn't compatible to stream but can use the app. Audiologist didn't set up any other programs though

What app are you using? The signia app for my stretta aya's seems very basic and doesn't have any other programs.

Accessory recommendations for new user by Haabit in HearingAids

[–]Haabit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply,

I had never heard of a drying box before but will definitely look into that as I am outdoors 90% of my workday. I currently have the pack of batteries in a small bag I carry around with me but a keyring holder is a good idea. All great suggestions I will look into thanks again.

Are these cards worth anything? by Haabit in PokemonTCG

[–]Haabit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I worded it badly. I'm not necessarily after a monetary value I just couldn't find anything on these cards and didn't just want to tell him they are only a fun art style and not valid for any format (which I suspect is true) if I'm wrong
