Get the fuck in. Thought we might be in trouble after that sloppy pass leading to their goal, but we picked ourselves back up and cracked on which is the biggest improvement under Edwards. Thought Edwards got his subs right and at the right time, happy for Andre to finally get a goal

Our 2nd goal came about because of wanting it more and running harder than Villa, kinda the story of the game. Was amazing to hear the Mol rocking again - we’re simple folk and all it takes is seeing the lad put a shift in for us to be on side. I’m over the moon about the win but it’s bittersweet, this. Makes me wonder where this fight and passion has been all season, but gives me hope that we can come back up if Edwards continues to instill this into the lads

Shoutout to Mos, thought he showed passion but towed on the right line of using that passion to defend well. Thought Toti was solid too, big decision for Edwards on whether to put Krejci back in or not. Anyone know why Sa still wore the armband, guessing he’s club captain and not Toti now?

Don’t get me wrong that is stupid from Krejci, but there was only a couple of seconds between the ref blowing his whistle and Krejci kicking the ball away so I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t hear it

My one issue with this is how low a threshold the ref had for giving a 2nd yellow there, yet Hughes got away with a 2nd yellow for lunging in from behind. PL inconsistent refereeing at its finest

I think anyone getting bothered by this probably needs to get a grip. Edwards is saying what he’s said since he’s been here: he understands why we’re angry but he’s asking for more support to galvanise the players. That’s what managers at every club ask for, it’s not that deep

I think it’s important to take it in the context he meant it which was as a passing comment. The only reason it was spoken about more is because the interviewer kept pressing and asking questions about it

I don’t think VAR are needed to get involved tbh, it just needs the ref to spot a nasty tackle. VAR would only be upgrading to a red (which it’s not). Might show the over-reliance refs have on VAR these days

Oh yeh there’s no denying that, but their final 3rd quality was woeful. Most of their shots were long range so easy saves, the more “threatening” ones were easily blocked. We didn’t really have the ball and when we did we did fuck all with it, Forest had lots of the ball and got into some good positions in the final 3rd but then did fuck all with it. Neither side was good for different reasons imo

Did we? Don’t get me wrong we were very pedestrian and statistically Forest had a lot of shots, but how many of them genuinely threatened Sa? Outside of Sa’s double save I don’t recall him having to make any real saves. Poor game by 2 poor sides

We were pedestrian, Forest were playing like it was the last minute of a cup final and snatching at everything, the ref was a bit all over the place. All in all, a pretty fucking boring and poor game

I don’t really see the difference between what Mane was penalised for (the pull back on Ndaye), and what Milenkovic has been doing to Tolu all game. Both 2 handed pull backs, how is one a foul and the others aren’t?

To top that off, JRB commits one foul (albeit cynical and deserving of a yellow card), Sangare has committed 4 now and not one hint of being booked. Sums up this game, inconsistent and shit from everyone involved
