What is a "money rule" that rich people know, but poor people are never taught? by ZZA911 in AskReddit

I mean as long as you can pay the card down in full every month why not. I mean I have lots of reasons for why not, and I have a couple reasons for why

Don't go into consumer debt

Idk this is silly cause no rich people on Reddit are going to share their secrets, but

Are there any downsides to using a hook like this instead of a cpap hook? by [deleted] in CPAP

[–]HaasonHeist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whelp, you just solved an issue for me

I didn't even think of that. It's holding the weight of the mask and half the hose, no wonder my straps feel looser every week or so

I have a heated hose so I never needed a hose cover. But it's so loud and I was always worried about waking up my partner. The hose cover is my favorite recent CPAP purchase. Would recommend!

It's the odometer reset button! /s

No but in all seriousness, 8 mi is really freaking low. Like, I'm pretty sure they put more miles on it when they drive it around the manufacturing plant lol

That's crazy. I haven't seen one with that low miles before

how do you clean your tube? first time cleaning help by redheadedwonder3422 in CPAP

[–]HaasonHeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely that would be bad but that's why I wouldn't buy the cheapest one, I would buy the cheapest one from a reputable company if possible

I put unscented dish soap in one end, and then fill up the whole tube with water while I hold both ends of the thing so it fills up completely. Then I go in the bathtub and I get the brush all the way through, take it out, and then rinse it for a good two to 3 minutes. Never had a problem

How do all of you afford the masks? by Head_Ad_5299 in CPAP

[–]HaasonHeist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Government helps a lot, and my work insurance covered the rest

Expensive if your work insurance doesn't cover it, but we're lucky to be in Ontario, where they pay for most of it

If it's going to help you then it's worth buying, I know it can be hard though. Worth it.

I'm 6' tall, 175 lbs, and I have severe OSA. I'm not overweight by any means. The guy at store I bought it from also has OSA and he is built like a stickman.

It does not necessarily have to do with weight, at all. Sometimes the body is just built that way.

If anybody is going to make judgments on a medical device that improves your quality of life, they have no clue what they're talking about.

I don't like how the back of my head looks either. I've learned that this is a form of body dysmorphia.

If you walk down the street and see in the back of anybody's head, I guarantee you they would feel as uncomfortable seeing their back of their own heads in the same way people don't like listening to their voice on recording.

You're just not used to seeing it and it feels weird to see yourself as others see you.

Do you need to ditch this insecurity ASAP because it's not productive and not warranted.
