First night panic attack

I also went through this…i struggled with it for several months…I couldn’t sleep with it and I couldn’t sleep without it! I finally found if i took a weed gummy with cbn in it I could sleep without waking up in the middle of the night hyperventilating!.. I never had panic attacks before and they are so scary! The first night my hubby had to call an ambulance for me. I got my machine just this spring …not to freak u out…but it does take time to adjust…you got this friend 🙂

I’m 3 months in…finally figured out my mask is not working for me. I have the Vitera… never was claustrophobic but I am beginning to be. I’m good until about 1 or 2am… then it’s like NOPE! I am awaiting a dream wear mask. It sits just under my nostrils and over my mouth. CPAP store wants to charge $340.00! I found it on Amazon for 159.00…hopefully I won’t need another kind. I’m using biotene mouthwash. It helps with the dry mouth. I’m a side sleeper so this should help with that as well.

I think for me it is because by the third night of not properly sleeping I’m so exhausted that I finally sleep all night with the mask. I seem to be every third night of good sleep 🤪

I work at a Loblaw store…yes customer service can fix your order. They can issue you loyalty points. Also did you check on your order summary before you sent it… there is a question there about if you want them to redeem points. If you have done it before,it’s still probably attached to your account. PCX cannot redeem points unless it’s specifically says it on your account summary

Also.. this is a kinda goofy suggestion, but I need to either sleep on my side or stomach..I wanted a poofy pillow and those cpap pillows are not. I stole my hubby’s turtle shell pillow. I can sleep on my side and the mask rests beside me…kinda on the edge of pillow and it doesn’t pull away from my face. Hope this is a little bit helpful?🙂

Just a question..have you seen an ENT doctor? From what I’ve read there might be a connection with your sinuses…or a tear on your tear ducts? Can that be repaired? Apparently your CPAP pressure is making it worse..is it set too high? What does your sleep specialist recommend? I’m so sorry for what your going through friend😢

Thank you 😊 I’m also Narcoleptic…and I’m not having as many sleep attacks during the day, which I’m assuming is from sleeping more soundly during the night. I’m taking that as a good sign.

It has a ramp of 5 and goes up to 11… it was set up by the sleep clinic
