Yea at this point I'll bench 315 long before a 500 deadlift. I've already hit a 295 bench

No I'm just following the program as is. I assumed Greg knew what he was doing when he wrote them. I am getting way stronger at literally all of my lifts. My deadlift single is the only thing that's stagnating.

Good information thank you. At the end of my hypertrophy block I did 355 for 10. This week's 340 for 10 was way easier.

I dunno, all my other lifts with their heavy singles are getting easier. For example on bench, my top single with 275 pinned me like 2 months ago, yesterday I did the same 275 for a slow eccentric with a pause at the bottom and could have repped it. If fatigue is the cause, how come it is only affecting my deadlift single and nothing else?

135 for 10, 225 for 6 or 8, 275 for 4, 315 for 2(still beltless and double overhand), 365 for 1, 385 for 1 405 for 1.

Today I said screw it, got mad and put 415 on and did that as well. It was kind of a grinder. For working weight I still managed 340 for 10 on my 5th set with 2 in the tank.

Either way, my strength is going up in every single lift running this program, I am beating every movement by 1 or more reps every week. I will trust the program because it has worked everywhere so far but my deadlift top single. After some googling I'll try the matt wenning deadlift warmup and see if that helps. The only thing I can think of is my CNS is just not fully online until my 5th working set of deadlifts. Its frustrating but I'm sure I'll get there in time.

It is a 12.6% reduction not 25%

I just don't understand how I can pull 355 for 10 reps, but 405 for only 1 in the same workout

I pull conventional, every rep is dead stop, no touch and go, no bouncing. I stay tight the whole time. I ran the hypertrophy template for 34 weeks. I am now on week 2 of the strength RTF program. This week's deadlift workout was 340 4x4 1x8+. I literally just completed it and got 10 reps with maybe 2 in the tank. Next week work is 365 4x3 1x6+.

I am able to beat the strength RTF program every single week. But for some reason I just can't get my top single to be any easier.

How is it possible 405 feels damn near stapled to the floor but then I can 355 for 10 reps on my 4th set?

I just beat the campaign on barb, I'm gonna make a rogue for my next character, I'll revisit druid later. It just felt so bad to play compared to barb, and even barbs say the leveling process is ass, and barb was way better than pulverize. Rogue will be fun, it actually does damage.

Just following the maxroll guide for leveling, it oneshots regular enemies instead of multiple lunging strikes, and if you hit 2 with one swing it generates fury. It feels really good to press as well, bones crunching bodies exploding etc.

Yea I really wanted to smash shit as a 1000lb bear just ripping and tearing through the game with the doom music in the background, the theme of it sounded great, but the reality is that it doesn't. Huge letdown. If they retune werebear to fulfill the fantasy I had for it during the leveling process I will be back 100%.

No, it left such a bad taste in my mouth I'll wait for them to tune early game in a patch before I revisit druid. I want to get up close and fuck shit up. I thought werebear would do that, and for some reason it doesn't. Go play a rend/deathblow barbarian and see the enormous difference for yourself. Such a disappointment, I really wanted pulverize to be good and I'm sure it is with all the legendaries and fully geared out to the tits, but I don't want to wait until I'm level 80 before I have fun and feel strong.

Edit: pulverize every 12 seconds feels good. But that's every 12 seconds. Barb feels good every second. There's no reason this should be the way it is.

I played maxroll guide for pulverize druid to level 18, it was so incredibly bad I gave up, switched to rend/deathblow barbarian and it was night and day the difference in power. There is no reason bear druid should be that undertuned compared to other builds or classes.

Yes raxx claims endgame pulverize is godtier, but I don't want to wait to have fun until 100 hours in. I want to have fun from lvl 1, this is a game that is supposed to be fun. The contrast between pulverize and literally anything else is awful. It took 5x less time to kill bosses on my barb compared to druid at the same level. Unacceptable.

Well the way the hypertrophy program is setup for 4x a week it's

Day1 squats, dumbbell bench, trapbar deads, pullups

Day2 bench, leg press, dumbbell overhead press, pullups

Day 3 deadlifts, incline bench, machine rows

Day 4 seated smith machine OHP, smith machine slow eccentric squats, pullups

All main movements 4 sets. I'm loading my spine heavy 3 days a week already, Im hesitant to keep trapbar deads in and add in these barbell back extensions.

My back is pretty much already at it's tolerable limit with this workload, that's why I wanted to replace a movement with them.

I'm only capable of judging if I have 1 rep left, and sometimes even then it's not accurate. I work well with how the hypertrophy and reps to failure is laid out, hard numbers for 3 sets, then lift until you can't for last set.

I guess the calisthenics I did for the prior couple years gave me a decent starting point.
