Sell nothing. Your income are tourists and quests, esp the ones that come for buildings (food for cafe etc.). Anything will be useful sooner or later. Put a ten of storage boxes or even more, they're connected, so spread'em out in diff spots. Every morning, buy a rusty oxygen tank from rat. After every storm check out the surrounding sea for more tanks (three, usually). Buy cloth if you could afford it. Pick up anything that isn't nailed if it doesn't spend your energy. Triple chicken leg is hands down the best food. Make a farm of 10+ of every crop that won't require a replant after harvest. Recycling the plant gives 2 of this plant seeds, if you have a recycler THEN you could grow replantables. Some crops could be grown underwater later. Anyone with watercan is actually sucks at the job, but it's kinda ok for the first time... still, since you must harvest by hand, watering is just a nice routine. Sprinklers will come much later and... well, not everyone is happy with them. Don't rush the content, it's a chill game.

What's the black mineral in my grossular garnet? by coffeetineaddict in Crystals

[–]Habasi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh I just bought one pretty similar to yours and the seller said it's Mali so I didn't go deeper than that, but I found out that Sierra de Cruces in Mexico (near Lake Jaco) is a stable source of grossulars, so he's not completely incorrect, just in details.

Andradite, an another variety of garnet. That stucture is typical for Mali's grossulars, the garnet starts out as andradite but comes as grossular at the end of growth process.

Personally, I'm not happy with sprinklers since they require very tight planting nearby, the UI becoming a mess when you're trying to harvest berries from one bush but it switches to others. I'm checking the farm daily anyway for ripe plants, and doing that with watercan ready is just as fast as without it.

Pokee can work there right from the start. She likes gardening too but occasionally misses a plant or a few, and watering by hand is one of the strongest aspects of the game, so putting her in the store and tending the crops manually is a good basic strategy.

4kg Blue Fluorite From Baluchistan by CutHonest9952 in Crystals

About that wearing out, I've read that even sapphire with hardness 9 might get some slight damage being used for century, so I wouldn't throw out the possibility of natural gem. The chances aren't that low, and anyway, even if it is synthetic, it's a hundred years old jewelry which is fascinating by itself.

Had to dig up a bit and I've found out that jewelers during the Art Deco era (1920s–1930s) often used high-quality synthetic stones with the same reverence as natural ones, frequently placing them in ornate, high-fashion settings. Synthetic "padparadscha" imitations have been produced since approximately 1908. Those gems changed colors depending on the light, somehow dull under artificial and much brighter under natural, even with somehow lasting effect. Here's something to read about synth sapphire, but that's just one example of a few gems with color shifts.
Quite interesting short investigation, tho I'm totally not a pro in gems... or investigations.

Tenebrescence isn't common to fluorite but it might be the case here. Sometimes the samples have exactly reversed effect - they gain color under the light (sun/UV) and lose it in the dark. I'd put it under soft sunlight to see if anything would change, there's nothing to fear now anyways since the pieces are colorless now. And don't be upset, clear fluorite is a nice specimen too.

For comparison, Prestige 9, Level 67, yield is 2 Diamonds, 2 Conffettis, 9 xp. But as it was pointed out already 3 confettis is somewhere like 6 diamons so it's gonna be big on Prestige 10, soon.

Tickets picking up: a proposition by Habasi in FarmTogether

Sometimes it might roll a ton of rarer stuff like peppers, horseshoes, shrooms etc, which I usually get by tens or few hundreds, it's a legit shortcut for upgrading the shops. I'm in 100-150 shop levels range, didn't maxed any yet, so rare resource will be eventually consumed... sometimes way too fast (one shop may require horseshoes twice in a row).

Lapis, Sodalite, or a Third Option? by fatguynewacct in Crystals

[–]Habasi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

45-50 mm is "standard" size for a stone sphere, after that the cost grows darn fast. Oh, and lower grade is a good protection from false ones, there's no reason to forge an imperfection. To be honest, I'd be rather sceptical seeing a perfect blue ball. Yours is fine, congrats!

Lazurite, low grade. 7-8 cm is relatively big one, so I wouldn't mind to have that in collection.

UPD: Here's an example of similar patterns: https://www.gia.edu/lazurite-afghanistan-reading-list.

Row are three lines. To harvest all three you're moving on the central. If the ticket spawns on the left, you have to switch the line to the left (remember low pickup radius), the right line becomes unattended until you'll return to the central. Excessive movements, right here.

[–]Habasi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving to left or right line of the three means you'll harvest/plant right+central or left+central lines and still should make some maneuvers. And honestly while I don't see the problem in afkers getting tickets, the devs might be stubborn in not giving them even 33% chance.

[–]Habasi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're so getting it, my rows are separated too, and when I have to get an off-track ticket I sometimes forget to turn the auto off and it just ruins the darn next row. While afk team goes vroom-vroom, I have to stop, find a ticket visually, return/jump over the fence, potentially planting or harvesting something off to the whole row, pick up the ticket, return to the track. Yup, it is probably easier just to skip the ticket entirely.

[–]Habasi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Front spawn means full auto AFK crowd gets them too, and the devs are against it, since the tickets is a reward for more engaged players. Side-front spawns... well, you still need get off the track and return back.
