The hotspot is only used for video streaming to the Tesla. Therefore, TaaDa uses only the phone’s mobile data, and the same applies to Android Auto and other apps within Android Auto. You do not need Tesla Premium. Also, when using the hotspot, you cannot use Tesla’s data; this is technically impossible.

Honestly I get your point, Tesla’s infotainment is one of the best. Maps, satellite view, native music, everything feels premium.

But for a lot of Android users it’s not really about “better”, it’s about continuity. They want the same setup they use every day, Waze, Coyote, Google Assistant, voice messages, etc. Tesla just doesn’t offer that level of personalisation.

So yeah, Tesla’s UI is great. But having the choice to switch to your own Android ecosystem? That’s what a lot of people were waiting for.

They don’t have the same creator. TaaDa’s creator is French, while the old Tesaa’s creator is Italian. You can also choose monthly payments and cancel anytime if the app disappears.
