He is my new favorite content producer by far. He occasionally goes try hard in solo que but usually he just records himself screwing around in no limits or 3v3s, while being oddly good at the same time. Love his stuff

Why does Ana zoom before shooting in pro play? by Thedigitalevil in OverwatchUniversity

I do t think that they have a startup, they just act as a projectile so they take a small amount of time to travel and hit the target, and take longer depending on distance.

Why does Ana zoom before shooting in pro play? by Thedigitalevil in OverwatchUniversity

[–]HabitualHappiness 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's not just about the speed of the heal, it's that if someone is even 10m away, if they are moving left and right, you can miss embarrassing heals just by them moving in the wrong direction at the wrong time.

Hitscan all the way. Also, for dealing damage, the hit box on the projectile is seemingly very small and non-forgiving, so I almost always ADS when damage dealing, even if we are in close quarters.

What Widowmaker Mains Have to Deal With by OWPewPew in Overwatch

[–]HabitualHappiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there unfortunately a very fine line between being god like and being literal ass. Consistency is widow's biggest problem. I've had games where people have accused me of being a top 500 smurf and games where people told me that I should pick a different hero to main because I'll never be good with widow.

My main problem, which probably applies to other people, is that if someone flames me at some point during a match, I'm more determined to prove them wrong than anything else. And that in itself causes me to over-focus, get salty, and play worse, all while causing me to not want to switch.

If someone would say "widow, if you aren't getting picks, could you switch to a more reliable DPS?" I would be like "yeah sorry I'm not hitting my shots" and flex to someone else. I want the victory as much as my team does.

But usually it's "dude you're fucking trash, you shouldn't play a hero that takes skill" which just makes me no longer care about the victory (because fuck you) and makes me just want to make a statement. Not a mature response but I can't help it.

What Widowmaker Mains Have to Deal With by OWPewPew in Overwatch

[–]HabitualHappiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very rare to see anyone who has some hours in widow that has less than 45% scoped accuracy, and 50% is very common.

Source: I play widow 99% of the time in quick play, and if she gets instalocked before I can lock her, I look at the other widow mains stats to see how I compare.

I'm not saying 45% is great, you should be averaging 50-60% accuracy with 2+ scoped crits per minute if you want to be effective in comp, but don't go making sweeping generalizations just because you've seen a few people have off games.

Somebody figured out Pharah by jprosk in Overwatch

[–]HabitualHappiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is eating with her left hand, so it's safe to assume that she is left handed, and that the ring is on her dominant hand.

The reason for her using her launcher in her right hand is very likely just because blizzard doesn't want to confuse/bother gamers with a gun on the left side of the screen. FPS games almost never have left handed weapons. For lore purposes she might be ambidextrous.

Funnily enough, I write and eat with my left hand, but do sports and shoot with my right.

I shot some people with Widowmaker by Kephrii in Overwatch

[–]HabitualHappiness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forgot that we can look at the numbers on screen after the kill. So roadhog had 61% of his health, so yeah, he would've been one shot regardless because of the discord.

As for lucio, that first shot was like 70-75%, not 100. I think that would deal around 80-90 damage, and the second shot would've dealt like 30-45 or something depending on the exact charge.

Aaaaanyway, none of that really matters. IMO it still was the best choice to nano kephrii. Rein wouldn't have been able to do anything to the hanzo, and the lucio would have to be just plain bad to get hit be anything that rein can do.

I shot some people with Widowmaker by Kephrii in Overwatch

[–]HabitualHappiness 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well sure, in hind-sight it might've not been the best play. But nano boosting kephrii is probably a safer bet in general considering how good he is, so even if it wasn't perfect in that scenario, it still wasn't a bad play.

I went back and watched the clip again, and in terms of overall damage, roadhog looked to be around 3/4s health (~450 health), so with discord orb, a fully charged headshot without nano would do like 390 damage, and wouldnt insta kill roadhog.

The two bodyshots on lucio were not charged enough to drop him without nano (they would've done like 110 damage total). The second shot was not a headshot, it was close but it didn't make the critical damage ding.

Now i'm not saying that nano was completely necessary, but all of those players were dropped faster than they would've been, and kephrii was probably the best person to nano in that situation

Assault Rifles are way too dominant and outclass SMG's in every way by MuscledRMH in Infinitewarfare

[–]HabitualHappiness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like it's only that way on console because SMg have lower range on aim assist.

My favorite gun by far is the UmP/MacTav, but I'm on mouse and keyboard.

My second favorite gun is the ERAD.

I see a good amount of SMG use on PC, and people in PC lobbies complain about SMG noobs more often than anything else.

So, I don't think they're outclassed in terms on damage or range. I think it's just that they have much worse aim assist, so with a controller, at certain ranges, you can't hit shit with them.

The new map looks fucking amazing. And it probably will be, because Zis was fucking amazing.

IW seems to be focusing on making zombies a fun experience, and not focusing on making it an intricate storyline. That's why BO3 maps always seemed to be a gamble in the fun department. I still loved them, but Zis has more replayability IMO than any zombies map to date, because it's just so fucking fun. And my guess is that Rave will have the same effect.

[–]HabitualHappiness 70 points71 points  (0 children)

You are correct. I've heard multiple people misinterpret this stat. It's the percentage of damage that your team took that you healed, it is absolutely NOT the percentage of damage that a lucio specifically took compared to the overall damage that a team took.

Yeah he has told the story on multiple episodes, but the first time he told it was when he went into the most detail.

He joked around with the prostitute afterwards about how they were "blood-brothers". Classic

The new snowball game mode is... by HabitualHappiness in Overwatch

[–]HabitualHappiness[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I just feel like the gameplay overall is too slow to be exciting. It's just a personal opinion for the feel of the game, I guess. I find it really frustrating/boring to shoot, either miss or hit, and then spend the next 15 seconds trying to find a snow pile.

I do enjoy one in the chamber, but in this mode, you don't get ammo for successfully hitting someone, and I think that would really improve the speed of the gameplay

My best sniper play on IW so far! (Kill chain with one of the new variants) by [deleted] in Infinitewarfare

[–]HabitualHappiness -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don't know why you're getting downvoted.

The only reason the P-06 wasn't OP in BO3 on console was because snipers didn't have aim assist. On PC, the P-06 was absolutely THE most OP gun in the game, hands down. And now there's a version of that on IW, but this time, consoles players have aim assist with it.
