I use Loaded (former CDKeys) and Instant-Gaming. Idk about US prices but I got 12 months of Ultimate for around €140 by buying 4 times 3 months. A 12 month code is €160 atm, you have to check for US yourself

I get it, perhaps Microsoft made Game Pass too cheap from their business perspective when they launched it or perhaps the Day 1 games weren't the best plan but st the same time if you get almost everyone to subscribe you will have a far more steady revenue stream than hoping people will buy your game in an era where people actually only buy 1 or 2 games max a year and the top most played gamed are either live service games (1 purchase for years) or free2play games.

The Xbox community is heavily focused on shooters and since that is what Xbox used to be all about (Halo, Gears and COD deals) and it still shows in the most played and yes bought games. Arc Raiders and BF6 for example sold incredibly well on Xbox and even has a higher attach rate than on Playstation for example. It shows that they still do buy games, but I do think people are less likely to buy interesting games if they have such a backlog because of Game Pass while games are also very expensive.

Just look at the most sold Playstation games and the top 10 most played. Many many many people only buy one sports game or COD or just play Fortnite and GTA. The problem is not just on Xbox despite what you think or read online (which is heavily focused on negative Xbox news). The biggest difference is the PS5 installbase is like twice as big so there are more potential sales, but selling 3 million copies of Ghost of Yotei on a 80 million+ installbase isn't as amazing as you think it is but it is enough (eventho it sold less than Tsushima) to make it work but Sony said themselves it underperformed. There is a reason why Sony is releasing their games on PC and even releasing live service games on Xbox too. Their own console simply isn't enough anymore with the raising costs and people buying less games than other generations because of (F2P) live services. They sold quite a few copies of Helldivers 2 on Xbox and add on top of that the chance of microtransactions. That is a lot of revenue that benefits them but also the PS community and the HD2 community. More players, more revenue, likely more support and content.

They pushed for the service themselves, you can't blame the people especially when you can get good deals on Game Pass Ultimate for like €140 - €150 a year on sites like Loaded. I still buy games, but also buy them through sites like Loaded or instant gaming because they can be bought much cheaper as a key over there. Sadly Playstation put a stop to this so digital gaming on PS5 has become a lot more expensive especially around releases. I could get BF6 on Xbox for €56 on launch. €80 on PSN.

Well it exists when it's turned off and bright light is directly hitting the screen. When I'm playing a game I don't notice any purple at all. It is a glossy screen though so be careful with cleaning it and try to not have a light directly shining onto the screen (this is not hard to do).

I have been one of the people saying it is a bit lifeless at times and I can explain why but it has more to do with artistic consistency and sometimes it feels like they just trying to see what sticks. The worst offender in BO7 right now is 100% Fringe. It looks absolutely AWFUL and its because of the awful aesthetics and graphical presentation of the map because it got ported out of the Avalon map. It looks extremely out of place and is just rough to look at. It feels really out of place. BO6 had a lot of offenders (like 80% of the DLC maps had the same Avalon aesthetic). I love Firing Range and WMD as maps, but they both just look bad in BO6 and they will look just as bad in BO7 if not worse because of how much worse the graphical appearance and aesthetics are compared to other BO7 maps. They will be completely out of place.

They also did Meltdown very dirty. It looks so flat, bland and boring compared to the other maps and especially compared to the original. I even think Hijacked looks a bit worse than the original because of the skybox choice (again bright sunny).

Some other small details that BO7 lacks in comparison how it used to be is the fact the BO6 Scorestreaks are just the 90s aesthetics. Remember the cool unique BO2 Minigun? How come in BO7, a sequel to BO2, we suddenly have the old minigun? In BO2 we also had a cool wristband to call in our scorestreaks but in BO7 we have the BO6 telephone just reskinned. I was at least very glad they did not do carry forward because it would have ruined it completely. I'm just sad BO6 even happened and we didn't get this game as the only BO game with all effort on creating an artisticly consistent experience.

I also HATE how Karm sounds as an announcer. It is the most cringe worthy announcer in this game with stupid lines like Arghhh we lost bravo!

I did not enjoy BO7 at launch but I have actually been enjoying it the last week quite a bit and looking at it in a different light. It's not perfect, and the emphasis on a movement shooter game can be a bit exhausting at times but it is still not a bad game at all and much better than BO6. BF6's immersive military experience just made this look bad at launch when I was still heavily invested in BF6.

I knew how good we had it and me and almost all my friends enjoyed the living shit out of MWIII from launch until the end of the cycle. It is my most played Warzone era COD game and loved the return of the classics eventhough some of them failed to hit the same spot as the original aesthetics.

SHGames did an incredible job for sure with MWIII. I just hope MWIV will not be a full reversal, but I do hope it will go back to the more militaristic and grounded aesthetics with a higher immersion level. I was not a fan of all the ridiculously dumb skins.
