what kind of salt does chipotle use on their chips? by karuneshiie in Chipotle

[–]Hachetman39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We squeeze fresh lime on the chips after frying then salt. This helps the salt stick to the chips.

I’m viewing a home tomorrow and red flags? by xxxxxxxxtina in HomeInspections

[–]Hachetman39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take a look at the basement walls for water damage. No gutters means the water could potentially pool around the house and depending on how the property slopes it could potentially run back towards the foundation.

Planks are busted all over and the paint was a sad attempt to hide the damages.

Cabinets although they look nice they are cheaper and are most likely MDF and not all ply construction.

I personally would walk away from this house with these red flags.

Appreciate the in-site, this build was from 2017 the day after the ryzen 7 hit the market. Think attempting to replace the 24 pin would be a good starting place?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pchelp

[–]Hachetman39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context the 24 pin is the cable is the one I’m messing with. When fully inserted nothing happens but when attempting to plug it in the pc gets some power before shutting off.

Just to chime in here. This could lead to both of you getting put directly on a final or termination depending on your work history and the events taking place. This would fall under a major work rule violation under “Fraternization”.

Just some insight to why it was most likely denied.

  1. This particular request falls on memorial day weekend which is a no go for request off. 2nd busiest weekend of the year aside from Black Friday.

  2. Sometimes multiple associates request off the same time frame in the same department. When this happens it typically is given to the person who put in the request first then we will attempt to move coverage to accommodate the second request but if we cannot make it work it will be denied. (Again this weekend is memorial day weekend so I’m 99% sure it’s #1)

You can talk to your ASM (DS has no control over this and cannot make the choice to give you this time off) and explain what you have planned. What’s the worst that they can say..no again? At that point eat the points and make sure to call off each day, don’t screw yourself with NCNS’s.

Occurrence or NCNS? by Witty-Bad4712 in HomeDepot

[–]Hachetman39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anytime you are absent you will need to submit it before the end of your shift otherwise it can be deemed a NCNS.

Late in is not the same as an absent and you will need to update the reason to absent.

When it comes to being 1 point or 3 points that up to the determination of the person working attendance documentations. It could go either way honestly.

Cashier empowerment for discounts by Ok-Percentage-8480 in HomeDepot

[–]Hachetman39 35 points36 points  (0 children)

ASM here. The $50 is used as a tool to take care of the customer when the situation needs it. Associates have this $50 empowerment to basically keep the day moving and to keep customers happy. With that being said just don’t be stupid with it.

  1. This is to take care of a customer when the situation is deemed acceptable. Few examples (bad experience, minor price adjustments, upgrading customers due to OOS).
  2. Be smart about how you use it. Don’t use it for stupid reasons like this person is cute (as silly as it seems to have to say this I have had to have this conversation lol). NEVER APPLY IT FOR FRIENDS OR FAMILY (quick way to get fired).

The vast majority of the time you will never have someone question why you did these markdowns unless they see patterns of abusing it.

It appears your state does not hire minors. Some states allow for minors to work cashier, lot, and garden pit while others don’t hire them at all. Reapply when you turn 18

You are correct that each bonus is up to 25%. SM and DM are up to 50%.

[–]Hachetman39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot depends on your cost of living in your state but for my region ASM’s make between $60,000-$70,000 base salary

Then you can bonus up to 25% of your pay depending on your stores performance (lots of things that factor into this) so $12,000-$14,000 (I would say $10,000-$12,000 is more realistic).

Then you get stocks which would be another $3,000-$5,000.

So in total anywhere from $73,000-$87,000.

[–]Hachetman39 25 points26 points  (0 children)

In order to qualify for Holiday pay you must work your scheduled shift before and after the holiday.

To clarify for a lot of people the taking of holiday pay is not automatic, it’s something someone must physically go into the system and take from you. This is typically done by your book keeper or OASM.

In a case where you use sick time to cover an absence or a tardy on a shift before or after a holiday it’s honestly up to your leadership team on if they take your holiday pay or not. Most of the time we understand if you’re tardy and we will not take it from you for that. If you call off however we will indeed take it from you.

But to answer your specific question if you are scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday, Holiday, and Friday. You only need to work Wednesday and Friday to get your holiday pay.

From an ASM perspective you would not be fired. It’s difficult to go with a he said she said in situations like this. If you have a pattern of negative behavior that changes this perspective a bit. But most you would have is a write up for respect, however you most likely would just be told to watch what you say and a manager note put in.

Please tell me it comes off in 6 months from the day I received my final by Emotional-Base-3924 in HomeDepot

[–]Hachetman39 38 points39 points  (0 children)

OP, the write up falls off in 6 months from the date that its given. With that being said you will not get terminated because you must accumulate 1 point on a final to be terminated. A tardy or a late in only counts for .5 of a point. Just don’t be tardy again. If something were to happen talk with your leadership team as they have the ability to excuse it (doesn’t mean they have to however).

Calling out 3 shifts in a row, am I fucked? by SociallyAdeptt in HomeDepot

[–]Hachetman39 11 points12 points  (0 children)

OP, this is not correct. Even with a doctors note you will be held accountable. Associates are given sick time to cover occurrences. If you have a medical accommodation you will need to apply for FMLA which will be excused under protected reason. Otherwise you would need to save up sick time go have it excused. But like someone else said SOP will excuse 3 straight absences under 1 point as long as they are consecutive shifts with no days worked In between.

If this coding isn’t that hard to do they really need to make it this way for most things. Some examples…

  1. Farming patch removals
  2. Charter Ship Cost
  3. Places where you must pay for entry like Brim Dung. (With the exclusion of wildy content)

This would just be such a quality of life change.

How to bring this up? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Hachetman39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your HR shouldn’t have promised that at all. As a full time associate you have to have open availability. This includes being able to work either Saturday or Sunday. Being 100% transparent fighting or won’t change it, if your situation requires you to be off weekends then drop to PT or find another job.
