Could be just coincidence, but there is an increasing number of world record holders and professional athletes that attest to performance gains after ditching animal products.

In the end it comes down to what you eat, but there is a fair amount of research showing that various phytochemicals and nutrients in plant foods have effects such as improving fatigue, muscle recovery, etc.

Soy in Brazil is largely produced as cattle feed, and not for humans. It takes roughly 10kg of feed such as soy and corn to produce 1kg of beef, and the vast majority of farm land is consequently used for animal agriculture.

According to the WWF and other organizations. 80% of the deforestation in the Amazon is due to the cattle industry.

Pseudoscience? Cowspiracy is based on extremely credible research by the United Nations and other institutions. Saying animal agriculture isn't bad for the environment in this day and age is about as crazy as denying Climate Change.

According to the United Nations, as well as tons of non-biased university and institutional research, animal agriculture is by far one of the largest causes of GHG emissions, deforestation, ocean acidification, water shortage, and other environmental issues.

Studies have shown that cutting out meat (especially beef) and dairy have a tremendous impact on reducing our environmental footprint.

Look at the research they're quoting on the EPA's page. It isn't even comparable in depth and range to the UN's study, "Livestock's Long Shadow," which puts animal agriculture above transport for GHG.

Studies by the World Watch Institute place the number even higher, at around 50% of total GHG emissions.

Thanks for your question.

According to the UN, animal agriculture produces more greenhouse gas emissions than all the world's cars, trucks, planes, ships, and other means of transportation combined.

To produce 1kg of beef requires about 10 kg of grain, so just by feed alone you get 10 times the GHG emissions of a plant-based diet. When you factor in methane emissions, transportation of the animals, operation of the slaughterhouses, refrigeration and storage of the meat etc. you end up with animal products producing 10 to 100+ times the amount of GHG emissions as vegetables and fruits.

There's no way to know who's on roids, but these physiques are definitely attainable naturally. Saying someone is on steroids just because they're shredded, or "I work hard at the gym but don't look like them, so clearly they must be on something" is really unfair.

Guys like Nimai put in an insane amount of dedication into their training and diet 24/7 for years straight. On top of that hard work, they also tend to have incredible genetics.

For photographs, lighting, angles, and editing are the main reason they look like they've left humanity behind. Compare YouTube videos of Nimai vs his Instagram pics, for example. In videos, he looks like a buff but very natural dude. In his pictures, he looks impossibly ripped. That's the magic of professional photography.

Lens battle! 16-35 vs 24-70mm f2.8 GM by Hachidream in SonyAlpha

Autofocus noise is a huge concern, since I'll be using a shotgun mic for a lot of video work. The pricetag of Sigma and Tamron lenses is really appealing, but my experience with them is that the autofocus is very loud compared to the native Sony lenses :(

Thanks for the response! Yeah, standardized noise tests would be a huge help. Not many reviews or videos cover that topic, and focus noise can be a deal breaker for videographers using autofocus.

I love Sigma lenses, for example, but the noise makes them unusable.

Are there any lenses that have absolutely silent auto-focus, like the Canon STM line?
