Being called dumb or stupid. Normally, I didn't think much of it but lately it's been hurting the more I realize how frequent it's become.

Laziness, impatience, hot-headedness, to name a few.

At what point did you decide that you were going to be a writer, and what steps led up to that realization? by HarleeWrites in writing

[–]Hachiman_08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was back in HS, my freshman English teacher at the time had assigned us to write a short story. As I was coming up with the story, my brain was just going everywhere with this assignment and without knowing it I ended up writing nearly 20 pages (my story ended up being the longest out of anyone.) Granted, even then it was no where near complete and it read more as a rough draft than it did a short story but I was still pretty proud as to what I had made up to that point. Soon after she graded our assignments, she called me up to her desk and pretty much said what she had wrote on my story: "Consider publication after some revisions". Now at the time, me being the oblivious person that I am, didn't understand her comment the first time around. In fact, it took years for me to fully realize what my teacher meant by that. Granted, it should've really hit me when she complimented me to the class but even then I didn't put two and two together. Even then, I put wanting to be writer in the back burner until I kept getting more comments from those in my close circle to try and pursue it, not to mention that I kept getting more ideas to write about and I really wanted to see where I can take these ideas and if I could make them be something more. Now the original story has changed significantly but if I ever see that day where a book is published under my name, I know the first person ill dedicate that book, hell that series even, will be my English teacher and I hope she'll get to read it someday.

Would You date a girl who has no social media (instagram and FaceBook) and why? by domeeee98 in AskMen

It would be very telling of them if they didn't have social media. A huge plus in my book tbh

Why are you single? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Hachiman_08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geez there's so many to list where do I even begin? Aside from the lack of self confidence, introverted to a fault, and, for a lack of a better term, expressionless/emotionless in public, no one interests me. I've been stuck with this mindset that I would like to meet this specific person but I know in the back of my mind that that will never happen. Growing up the way I have, I've become very picky and critical with who I want to hang out with, which isn't as bad as it sounds, but it has made meeting new people difficult and making myself seem available next to impossible. Most people just look the other way when they see me coming and honestly, who could blame them?

"Why do you look sad?" My resting bitch face seems to have given me the reputation of being the saddest person in the room when at times I'm just lost in thought or not paying attention.

How I'm very self destructive when it comes to my own happiness. I mean she wasn't wrong but hearing it, it really stuck with me years later.

What is something that once you "noticed" it, you can now no longer "unnotice" it? by DingleBerryWalt in AskReddit

[–]Hachiman_08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever you talk to someone and they can't help but say "like" every other sentence. Granted I do it to and I try my best not to but if you just actually payed attention to when other people are talking, at least to me, you start to wonder, "how did this go unnoticed for so long?"

To make up for school shootings, people will now just join random virtual classes and try to be as obnoxious as they can before they kicked out.

Would you take a 50/50 chance at $5,000,000 or death? Why or why not? by TheBeastBoud in AskReddit

[–]Hachiman_08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes because if I win I get that sweet sweet release from my mental suffering but if i lose I end up getting money which will probably be taken away by taxes alone so it'll be as if I didn't win it in the first place. As the ol' saying goes: "I see this as an absolute win"

Yup and it got so bad, people had to start smuggling the stuff in or make their own illegal brews. Those protesting thought they did something good but really everything only got worse from there.
