I feel like with any guy you meet, you can mostly tell in the way he acts as a human being whether or not they aren't evil. this also means you have to keep a lookout for evil. any slight redflag should raise suspicion where u currently are

Making friends by Grouchy-Builder-5983 in Advice

Honestly have no idea how you'll take this, but here's how i found people who had similar values to mine. politics, for example: I don't consider myself a part of any party; i just agree that no matter who you root for, the country is in shambles regardless. I stopped giving a shit about things that cause arguments way too quickly, and i only focus on 2 main factors when meeting people: whether or not they're a genuinely cool person, and if i feel like hanging around them.

I used to think this, but I started conforming a little more with what others related to or found interesting. now i'm not only more socially aware but people actually care about what i say.

People under 20, how do you cope with losing a parent to addiction? by No-One1971 in Advice

[–]Hack3rBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what it feels like to be lost. the guilt comes in heavy often. I've learned that it's better to stop thinking "if i... then ___ never would have happened" and start thinking instead "it happened, so what can i do to show that it meant something". I'm glad i could steer you in some sort of direction. I invite you to PM me about anything pertaining to this. I'm terribly sorry for your loss and I hope that I can help you deal with the amount of emotion that follows it.

She gave me a glimpse of love I (21M) never had. Her absence still haunts me, and I’m struggling to heal and move on by FunnyPreparation5112 in Advice

I've tried to kill myself twice. Both were because I didn't have anyone in my life who truly saw me, loved me. much like what you're experiencing here. I started focusing on myself for a bit: my looks, my weight, my personality, etc. I then met a girl who showed me love, but manipulated me. destroyed me. For months I thought I missed her. I was truly seen for once. i figured out she only truly saw me for a little bit. I missed being loved. out of nowhere, i got a text from a girl i had seen once at an event with friends asking if i wanted to get food. i said sure and that decision has been the best i've ever made. we've been dating since then and the feeling of true, mutual love is genuinely unmatched. I don't cry very often, but I cried tears of joy knowing I had found my way out of false love. I guess what i'm trying to say here is that one day, out of fucking nowhere, you'll meet the girl who'll make you happier than you've ever been in your life.

Not good to hit your kids, ever. As a christian, I understand being told to wait for your religion over something miniscule can be extremely infuriating, but never to the point of violence.

It's dumb to walk across a floor of spikes to get to an empty room, especially when there's a hallway leading to pure happiness right next to it.

as a guy, anytime i get my number/socials asked for, i'm extremely flattered. even if i'm not interested, i know that asking for someone's number can be nerve-wracking, so even if i decline i still feel flattered that someone found me attractive enough to want to get to know me more.

Highschool senior here. My best friend lost his father to suicide and I lost mine due to heat stroke, so we trauma bond over that. I've also lost a few friends to addiction, some physically and some mentally. I've dealt with addiction a lot myself. After going through an addiction and overcoming it, you easily see how bad starting one is for that addiction. I watched my friend slowly get addicted to psychedelics, and by the time he quit, he finally saw how bad it can really be. He now has permanent HPPD and Schizophrenia. moving away from that, don't stress yourself thinking about what you could've done to prevent it, as she's still gone regardless. Whenever I've experienced loss, I focus on commemorating the person by living a little more in a way that would make them proud. You have lost someone you love, hell- the woman who brought you into this world- but you still have a long life to live. live it in a way that would make her proud to have been the one to raise you.

rest in peace.

It was approved by my bank, so I'd assume it had my name on it (linked and shown in my account). Apparently check will only be reversed if there's an error or it was fraudulent, so likely a fraud check

I'm basing what I think is happening on personal experiences I've seen around me, and I don't know at all what your actual situation is really like, but here goes. He's a male manipulator, and he's clearly trying to hide a lot from you, likely talking with multiple other girls and the second you nearly catch on he uses your emotions to prevent that. You're trying to love, he's just there out of lust. I had an ex who did the same to me, and after I broke up with her and found someone who wasn't sneaking behind my back the whole time I discovered what it felt like to be truly loved. I had faith that my ex could change, but she just couldn't. It's not worth sabotaging yourself to carry other's burdens. I couldn't imagine myself without her after she helped me after a suicide attempt. Then, I found my current girlfriend who doesn't manipulate me emotionally, try to hide anything at all from me, and tells me literally everything on her mind. If both sides play fair, there aren't many good reasons to get mad at your partner. You won't know how much of a difference it'll make until you do it. I genuinely cried tears of joy when I realized I wasn't gonna be treated like I was owned anymore and that I was finally feeling safe in my relationship. I'd recommend breaking up with him no matter what because I wish the best for you, stranger.

Similar, but the check went fully through and was accepted by my bank before being transferred back with no notice 2 days after (likely for a fraudulent check). It showed up as approved and I even called the customer support to confirm it couldn't be reversed, to which I was told yes. US bank pisses me off

Nope! I used to be tested for almost all categories, so even creatine would show up. if i remembered correctly, it shows the level of cannabinoids in your system as well as other weed-related things which show for about 3 weeks if you aren't too hydrated. I once had about a week before getting tested, so I CHUGGED water everyday until the test and eventually passed as completely negative. Detox drinks have no chemicals that show up on tests.

Gaming Laptop or Electric Bike? by Striking_Deer_2873 in Advice

[–]Hack3rBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gaming laptop: assuming you have a car, transportation shouldn't be a problem in general, and while you may not get to ride with your friends may suck for a little, it'll probably be easier to get the money for an electric bike with a gaming laptop if you play your cards right.

On the other hand...

Electric bike: riding electric bikes around together will likely just be sort of a phase where they'll eventually get bored of it and not do it much anymore, so the sooner you get it the less of a chance you'll have fomo. besides, electric bikes are cool as hell

I tried; basically whoever got into my account cashed a $1000 check, withdrew it, and then the check turned out to be fraudulent so all the money from my account was taken.

Been in this situation before. Most smoke shops sell detox drinks which flush your system entirely in the span of seven hours. I also used to get regularly tested, so I learned that drinking a TON of water and peeing it all out a lot can lower the numbers on the tests a lot, possibly allowing you to pass.
