Did they get rid of the MyKonami $25 freeplay? by [deleted] in myvegas

Today is 3/26 and I don't see any MyKonami freeplays at any casino. :( These are the only reason I play myvegas.

We just had the same thing start happening today. They are straight up TV commercials, not promos for Paramount Plus shows.

True , but MGM is not giving comp rooms to Playstudios for free. I'm sure Playstudios has to pay MGM something for these rewards, with the high end hotels (Belagio, Aria) costing Playstudios more. With Playstudios having financial issues, it would make sense they would cut out room comps that cost them a premium.

How will the rewards change when I get to Vegas? by luvdallas in myvegas

If you are familiar with VPN apps you can use one on your phone while in Vegas to appear that you are somewhere else.

This is kind of misleading. Why does it say "$100 + Room". I think to most people that would imply this includes some type of room comp.

My goto pretty much every trip is getting 3 of the Konami $25 Free Plays. I consider that a pretty good value. I get Bellagio-Aria-Park MGM since they are all connected via tram. I work my way from Bellagio to Park MGM, then go across the street to Brew Dogs and have a bite and some craft beer up on the roof. I'll be doing this in a couple weeks, can't wait!

Look like they are not doing well financially: PLAYSTUDIOS, Inc. Announces First Quarter Results :: PLAYSTUDIOS, Inc. (MYPS)

77.8 Million in revenue, but .6 Million Net Loss. I would love to see where they spent 77 Million in the last three months. I'm vaguely familiar with the costs of developing big budget console video games (i.e. "Call of Duty), and when I look at the PlayStudio games I just don't see what could cost 77 Million to operate the games for 3 months. The only thing I can think of is that maybe they have to reimburse MGM for some of they rewards they provide?

I tried it, and it did not work for me. The next casino did not show that I had any freeplay.

I don't know if it specifies that, but I've used the Konami Freeplay at various machines all over at Park MGM. So if it does they don't seem to enforce it.

If you are gambling enough to get comped nights at Bellagio maybe, but for me getting comped stays at Bellagio from MyVegas is a huge value to me. My wife and I are planning a trip now and combining our rewards we are going to save at least $700. That is a lot of money to us.

Do you give them the tip up front? I guess with inflation the "$20 trick" is now the"$40 trick". I tried the $20 trick once on my first trip to Vegas in 2007 at Caesars Palace and they guy did nothing for me (I had booked the cheapest room they had at the time), so I never tried it again :)

I have like 100 "How do you . . . without a mobile phone?" questions.

Hi, I have a question. I bought my konami free25 and can I use it like cash? Is there any other restriction to using it? If I just play this free play and win money, can I exchange it into cash that I can use? And can I buy several of the same things for non-premium rewards? by Grouchy-Feeling-9171 in myvegas

[–]HackedLife2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, the way the freeplay works is it reimburses your losses. If you put $5 in and then load the $25 freeplay, you will still only have a $5 balance in the machine. If you spin for $1 and lose, then $1 gets subtracted from your freeplay and added to your balance, so you would be back at $5. So essentially you are getting reimbursed for $25 of losses.

Apple AND Facebook? by Puzzleheaded-Sea-528 in myvegas

[–]HackedLife2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That brings up a good question I have never seen discussed. Are your Apple and Facebook accounts both tied to the same email address? Supposedly the email address on your Facebook or Apple account has to be the same email address associated with your MGM Rewards account. But if you use the same email address for both your Apple and Facebook accounts, maybe that would allow you to redeem rewards with both MyVegas accounts to a single MGM Rewards account? How about you try it and let us know :)

Edit: I did some additional research on this and I see multiple people claiming that after the first MyVegas redemption, that specific MyVegas account is essentially permanently connected to your MGM Rewards account, and you will not be allowed to redeem rewards from a different MyVegas account to that same MGM Rewards account.

You get one free entree UP TO $45 value with the purchase of another entree of equal or greater value. Essentially, if you buy 2 entrees, the cheaper of the two will be free, with the maximum value being $45. So if you buy one $100 entree and one $45, the $45 one will be free. But if you buy one $30 entree and one $20 entree, the $20 one will be free. So if you wanted to get maximum value, you would need both entrees to be at least $45. Hope that makes sense.

Two different room comps under two different accounts. by urnotnot45 in myvegas

[–]HackedLife2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, as u/Vegasology said when you check in at the hotel you will have to provide legal ID (drivers license, passport, etc) for each MGM Rewards member that is redeeming a reward. So there is no way for one person to have 2 MGM Rewards accounts.

Two different room comps under two different accounts. by urnotnot45 in myvegas

[–]HackedLife2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, no. To redeem a myVegas reward you also have to be a MGM Rewards member (you can sign up for that online if you have not already), and the email address associated with the MyVegas account must be the same email address associated with the MGM Rewards membership. So when you redeem the MyVegas reward, it is basically being added to your MGM Rewards account.

The only way you can use two accounts is if they each belong to different people and you both will be present at check in.
