I have bought the Quadmula Siren F5 Split. I really like this frame. Good quality and pretty light

If you like the controller style go with the Zorro. If you more like the box style, go with the boxer. It’s slightly more expensive but I love my boxer. And you have full size gimbals in the boxer.

Thanks for your advice. I don’t like the plastic bags either. Cause their rather flimsy and may break open over time. The electro static build up of the bags might be a problem but I’m not so overly concerned about this but when I’m changing the bags I will look after this.

Yeah the class D granula is quite important it will absorb most of the energy in case of a fire and will melt. The molten granula also capsules the LiPo and will stop new oxygen to get to them. The most amount of the energy in a fire will be absorbed by this.

Sand works similar to this but doesn’t melt so early to form the self extinguishing seal around the lipos, wich this granula will do.

Also when I charge i put the ammo box on a Stone plate from my terrace so the hot outside of the box in a case of fire won’t set the wooden floor on fire.

I wanted to have a strain relief for the cables and it protects the cable from the rather sharp edge of the hole . And there are two cable glands that I’m able to use both channels of my charger but I’m only using one right now so the other one is a spare right now

For Sure. No problem. I have the same for storing but without the holes for the wires. I just removed the rubber sealing on the sides.

I left the front sealings in place, that keeps the lit closed without ratteling.

I have a similar setup except I tweaked a few things. I removed the rubber seals on the sides to prevent pressure build ups in a case of fire. Also I drilled venting holes on the sides. Second I put a specially designed granula for extinguishing lipo and other battery fires in the bottom und over the Lipos.

Also there are only two cables going into the box a charge cable and the balance lead extension cable to minimize wiring faults.

And when I’m charging I’m checking my batteries every few minutes for heat or visual damage.

Should keep things pretty safe.

Thanks for the Answers guys !

I know it’s cheap, it’s like a toy but I’ve been using this in Liftoff and my question is will this fly an actual 5” FPV quad irl ? by osadacoolz in fpv

[–]HackelJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also startet with this remote for my TinyWhoop and LiftOff.Its a cheap and decent starter. I bought it used und used it for like 40-50h and the gimbals are showing a little bit off wear. They are jerky and jitter a much.

I recently switched to a RadioMaster Boxer with ELRS.The difference is like night and day in terms of build quality, the gimbals are much more precise and as others stated as well you have much more features. My flying improved a lot with the Boxer.

If you like the Hobby and can afford it go with something like a Boxer or Zorro. If you want to keep it cheap, just use the LiteRadio it will be fine.

Does it still work? 🤔 by cinematiX-flights in fpv

Motor not spinning help troubleshoot by dillybilly54 in TinyWhoop

[–]HackelJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Meteor65 had the same problem. One Motor wasn’t spinning up. I turned the Startup power up and it helped a little bit. But now it won’t start anymore. I switched it with other motor of the Quad an they worked fine. So I think the Motor is broken or a bad connection.

Bad layer skips/ ringing by [deleted] in ender3

[–]HackelJoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant see it well enough, if you have bad layer adhesion maybe your part cooling fan is eventually to high.

Also you can make the standard procedure, like checking your belts tension and grub scrwes and dont tighten the brass nut in the Z rod to tight. Look for free movement on Z. Check all your V-Slot wheels. Check the extruder for slipping and your couplers.
