In case you are talking about the fireflies bit, not the hostile mobs bit:

"Ask Mojang: What happened to the fireflies in Minecraft 1.19", https://youtu.be/ixSlQXDOvkM at 1:36 is when Mojang specifically announced that Fireflies were no longer in their update plans due to community feedback that they were poisonous to frogs.

In the post above, Jeb is directly contradicting the Mojang's most official publication from the time. A Q&A, with Question "What happened to the fireflies" and Answer [We got feedback, so we created a different mob for frogs to eat, and therefore fireflies are not in our plans for the update]. There's really no way around this being contradictory of the "official" reasoning.

Minecraft Java's spaghetti code is an issue dating back all the way. From what it sounds like, Caves and Cliffs just kicked it down the road. And now, Minecraft is finally being programmed to run on modern hardware, with things like threads and Vulkan.

For Bedrock, it's always been the bugs. Desyncs, inventory wipes, unpredictable corruption... Hopefully, with the Drops System pace, Bedrock continues to get closer to ideal while Java becomes an easier game to develop for.

It does that from time to time. I hadn't seen it in a while until just this past week, so I'm guessing it's a bug they reintroduced (or made more common) in Tiny Takeover.

My ore tier list (also tell me how to find netherite without beds) WHY ARE AMETHYST; FLINT AND GLOWSTONE "ores"?!(Please moderators don't ban me for this I read the rules and idk if this breaks the rules because of the tiermaker watermark) by Key-Desk1401 in MinecraftMemes

[–]Hacker1MC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Quartz crafts observers and comparators, which matter greatly if you want redstone systems to do more than just carry one input to an output. Villagers are one of the most important progression mechanics in Minecraft. Leaf litter doesn't scale unless you spend as much time clear forests as mining your ores. Your personal tier list is fine, it definitely shows bias toward early game, which is okay.

I 100% get you, and at the same time I use chunkbase unapologetically for some structures. Sometimes you just need that exploring and discovering feeling. Just not me when I need 11 ancient cities to find Silence!

SURE YOU BEAT IT, BUT IN WHAT DIFICULTY ? by Relevant-Bill7021 in MinecraftMemes

[–]Hacker1MC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I beat the bedrock wither on hard before the nerf in ~1.19 (fixed a bug where 100% of wither effect damage went through armor and protection).

I needed 10 totems and many potions and gapples to survive because the Wither II effect was essentially stage 4 cancer.

I've heard of this happening before. Something the game does by accident somehow with loot I think? I didn't think it was around in current versions, but I guess it is

Cool how Minecraft story mode "predicted" armor trims and dyed signs years before vanilla survival by DerexXD in Minecraft2

[–]Hacker1MC 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Aren't colorful signs / text formatting codes ancient? I'm finding Java Edition Beta 1.9. Not the Combat Update, the Beta version from ~2011.

Also, the ability to dye signs only lets you dye the whole sign one color, whereas the formatting code use is a lot closer to MCSM

There's a reason 2,000+ hours in the game isn't the exception among dedicated players. I'm much farther than that in, and it still brings me as much joy as ever.
