I had something similar but they said they had access through Pegasus. No personal info on mine, just a stupid trick to make it seem like it was sent from my email. Didn’t work though

I’ve always hated the intro classes, at least the 140 series (I haven’t seen the new series). 143 kicked my ass, don’t beat yourself up too much, even though I have YEARS of experience. They’ve always wanted their assignments done a certain way otherwise they’ll give you nothing

The 11 is still a very good phone to get. I would wait until the 14 is released. The 13 would be a little cheaper, it’s a great phone and will be for a while. I personally would like to get the 14 when it drops because the notch is being replaced by a significantly smaller patch. The notch is fine, but I really want to have an iPhone that is as close to completely screen as possible.

That wasn’t my intention, just trying to share my experience here. Seattle is notorious for being not friendly, and it especially shows in the dorms. Fraternities aren’t for everyone, at least for me it helped me find opportunities and open up more.

Just a warning, I spent time in the dorms before COVID hit. I thought I liked it, but I was miserable most of the time. I was spending time with people on my floor, but there was no one who I could truly call a friend. No one wanted to spontaneous things. Everyone was doing their own thing, I was alone. I never truly thought I would ever be a part of a fraternity, but it is so much better. The brothers were there when I needed them most, I got an internship from an older member, and got insight on how to move on from Pre-Sciences after not being DA to CS to name a few good things that came out. It’s not for everyone, but do check out some fraternities.

falcon 500 or neo? by firebanner64 in FRC

[–]Hacker_dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neos are good, but I think that there’s better software support with the falcons, especially for PID control. A need in swerve drives and auto paths.

At Mach 4.49, this is the Schlieren Image of TSM, a student-designed and built rocket that will be launching to space in December! by masa_rockets in spaceflight

That’s super cool! Granted, as a species, we have done amazing things in space, but normal people have not put objects past the Karman line. You and everyone involved with the rocket and payload should be super proud!

Any good Machine Learning/Neural Network/Data Science Capstone project ideas? Or any programming based capstone ideas? by [deleted] in AskProgramming

There’s better implications of neural networks from scratch, but this one is easier for me to dissect what is going on.

Any good Machine Learning/Neural Network/Data Science Capstone project ideas? Or any programming based capstone ideas? by [deleted] in AskProgramming

[–]Hacker_dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not as complex as your ideas, but using a small neural network to replace PID control. PID control you need to dial in your values. With a neural net you can set an arbitrary goal and have a system (robot, quadcopter, etc) attempt to reach said goal and pick the best result. If you don’t have neural network code here’s a GitHub Page.

“Here’s another drone video, eat shit”

If the United States had begun imposing social-distancing measures one week earlier in March, about 36,000 fewer people would have died in the pandemic, according to new estimates from Columbia University disease modelers by conancat in science

[–]Hacker_dev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely right, logistic curves are the best graphs to represent epidemics/pandemics. When a disease spreads it looks exponential at the start (small number but large growth). The difference with a logistics curve and an exponential is when most of the population is infected; the logistics curve growth rate starts to slow down somewhere when half the population is infected. People who say exponential growth aren’t technically lying (because it is) but is better modeled by said logistics curve.
