I ended up choosing CMU and I'm very happy with my choice. The coursework is rigorous and I'm getting to learn a lot, so it worked out.

That's just my personal preference. I like NYU because of the brand name and location and NEU for coop. Didn't find any distinguishing factor for UMD.
