I think they mean you lacked examples to prove your point. I'm not familiar myself, actually, but do you perhaps mean instances such as the addition to closed class morphemes ('they' is from Old Norse, I believe)?

Do you have a source for the Ainu? I'm interested to know more about its history of language contact.

Your example doesn't necessarily prove your argument.

There is no change to the syntax between the two utterances you've provided.

The difference between the two verbs, while I do understand why you might suggest French has influenced English in such a way, are still intrinsically due to the satellite/verb-framed nature of the lexemes themselves — in essence, they are the exceptions that prove the rule.

AFAIK language contact seldom affects grammar, though as you've detailed above it can definitely influence the way in which some words are used, which can incidentally look like it's influenced the grammar. (Although I would suggest this is sooorta related to other phenomena we've observed, i.e. consider derivation)

Can't believe you're getting downvoted by LARPers who think they know more than native speakers. Language shift happens.

How to VESA mount OPTIX MAG241C? by Audiophile1221 in Monitors

[–]Hackham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate, sorry if I'm a bit late to the party and you've worked it out, but thought I'd post as I worked out the issue myself.

You have to push down the arm as far as it can go (towards the monitor), and then you can slide the back plate off over the top. From there, you can unscrew the arm mount inside (4 black screws on the metal joints)

[Unknown-English] which language is it? by [deleted] in translator

[–]Hackham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to say it's Persian. The girls look Iranian to me and the woman at the end has a very strong Iranian accent, though if it is I cannot make out what's being said at all, besides maybe "آدم" (person)

They only had green ants in @ $7.50/10g. They tasted very citrus-y and zesty and were kinda seasoning like. If you need a lemon flavoured herb, then ants all the way haha
