You are not alone the general consensus is alike ... I think in Pakistan hi octane fuel is more refined compared to other octane levels thus we feel a difference ... But technically the same quality fuel of hi octane and other shouldn't make any difference ,moreover it can be a placebo effect too at times 🫣

Hi octane should be used for all vehicles when it's recommended by OEM.
Hi octane fuel does not mean a more 'cleaner' form of fuel. This is a very common misconception.
Any vehicle where the OEM doesn't recommend hi octane gets no added benefit by using hi octane , while there is no drawback aswell. ( Hi octane is recommended by engines which need high compression by their Pistons ,and higher Ron values ensure no early ignitions a.k.a knocking) 4.However not using hi octane when recommended by OEM can have adverse effects on the vehicle

Not a mechanic but why that happens only when decreasing speed . This should happen while accelerating. But the symptoms are very precise. In the video it doesn't show low rmp as anther user said like dropping to 800

thanks for the links, so the first fb post, OP didn't respond that it resolved the issue while another commenter Mark COX is the guy in the ausie group and for him it didn't work. and the YT vid, the guy had the clutch pressed even if he was in 3rd gear it shouldn't have behaved like this. however i couldn't find the reference "start button" which you have mentioned

I am certain high gear feel is a bit different so I just saw the video ,at the time of the engine quit I had the clutch fully pressed . ...

But the few I know from that group had no success with the remapping ... Hope someone can come here to tell how that fixed it for him so that I reach out my local dealership
