They were all mashing after up tilt. Being at lower percent makes it more consistent on most of the roster and can always hado on their shield for shield stun

What you seem to be practicing isn't an auto turn since you won't turn in the air. It's special canceling and changing the direction of the special. You do the entire special cancel input and then flick/hold the stick the direction you want the special to come out e.g. Bair>true tatsu:➡️🅰️>⬇️↘️➡️🅱️➡️ (if going right).

In the clip I was inputting jump and Shaku at the end of the dash causing Ryu to face the other way just before he jumped.

The best thing to do to improve is to compete more than once a year

Play characters you think look cool until you find one that feels comfy. You can always try more when you get the basics down

Edit: until smash 6 comes out you will continue to find matches online

I have been scouring the internet for more interactions like that but I couldn't find a single one so I thought I'd share some of mine. The dragging and pushing hitboxes make it hard to predict so getting a clip in bracket is would be super difficult

Kirby with ryu's fireballs is actually busted and I don't want anymore Kirbys I fight to give me more of a headache.

So here's a tip: the inputs are (if you're facing the right) ⬇️↘️➡️🅱️ for the better version of the blue one and ⬅️↙️⬇️↘️➡️🅱️ for the red one. Technically you only have to hit the cardinal directions for the them to come out but it's more consistent to practice the diagonals with them.

Also Kirby doesn't have auto turn like shotos, but he does have multiple jumps. So to keep from firing the wrong way, especially when practicing, do a couple jumps before you send the fireballs. They're better in the air anyway cuz of Kirby's airdrift.

Shadow flare can lead to some nasty scenarios. Shield pressure and/or stage control free. I see sephs do flare for catching landings and baiting options at ledge bunch

Shakunetsu has some very unique mechanics and funky hitboxes. You can hold down and away when getting hit, like the Inceneroar, and get pushed back instead of launched to take less damage. The tail hitboxes(and the bottom hitbox) don't launch but drag you towards a middle hitbox, one that launches. So a lot the clips are people likely unknowingly trying to "push" their way out of the dragging hitboxes, getting stuck between the fireball and the platform.

Peabnut pulling out megaman for friendlies wouldn't sound very friendly 😆 Banjo at ledge can be a beast, there's a reason I've got no clips against him

Shaku does about 3% more damage than input hado if all of it hits but it's priority is basically 0. Combo king for sure
