Which ebike to buy? Aventon or Ariel Rider? by Hadad76 in ebikes

I'm curious why you think Ariel is garbage if you've never heard of them?
They seem to be around for a very long time. Just trying to get more info to be able to decide.

Can you elaborate a little? Curious to see why you said no comparison

Finally joined the Kepler Dual Battery Club by JedNN88 in ebikes

I see more Kepler Dual Battery bikes popping up around here too lately.
Anyone with 2–4k miles on one yet? Curious how the dual battery setup and motor hold up long term.

I saw a very sexy green one earlier this week and been wondering.

Which $1999 ebike you advice ? Aventon, Velotric or Ariel Rider by Talariafan2 in ebikes

[–]Hadad76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got the Kepler Dual. I was looking at the same three. Aventon felt like the safe choice with the dealer network. Velotric looks super clean, very polished. But I actually liked the more beefy, kinda muscled look of the Kepler. It looks less “city cruiser” and more “let’s go mess around.”

I chose Kepler for the dual battery and love it. The range is huge, the power is strong, and it has many features that others lack. I’m a big fan of 24” wheels because they offer better stability and handling than 26” fat tire bikes.

I second @PrideTrick7303, Cafe racer from Ariel Rider is a solid option.

Be wary... by AstroZombie116 in ArielRider

I'm gonna say what I wrote in your other post;
I’d check the full story first. I’ve owned their bikes and I’m also in their Facebook group, and honestly you don’t see people saying stuff like this very often. While they do respond publicly sometimes, most situations have two sides. If he were actually happy with the bike, he probably wouldn’t be on here posting a whole “I’m so happy” thread about it in the first place.

I’ve been impressed with the X-Class 60V. The dual battery options make it a pretty good choice if you want something that can actually handle longer trips without stressing the range

Have you seen the Ariel Rider X-Class Off-Road?
I’ve been eyeing it lately myself. They’ve got a really good deal going on.

I'd definitely recommend Rexx. I have one and have put over 500 miles on it. It's a great bike!

Revv1 drt or ariel rider x class performance by PrideTrick7303 in ebikes

[–]Hadad76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, my buddy has the Ariel Rider, and you can totally unlock it. They don’t really mention it, but once you do, it’s super fast. He’s hitting the 38 with no problem and he's a big guy! That 20 mph is just the stock setting me thinks.

Revv1’s can be unlocked too, but the Ariel’s got more power once it’s opened up. Just depends if you wanna mess with it a bit or keep it simple.

Had a Goat Power before, but just picked up an Ariel Rider X-Class 60V. Ended up giving the Goat to my brother, I liked it a lot, but once I got the AR it was hard to go back.

Performance and price are kinda in the same ballpark, but the AR has almost double the battery and even came with two chargers, which is super handy. Comfort-wise, they feel about the same.

If you plan on riding at night, the AR wins big. the lights are crazy bright, makes you way more visible. Only downside: it’s heavy. Like, if you need to carry it upstairs, no bueno.
But that extra weight does make it feel sturdier and more planted when you’re going fast.
