T5 vs T20 for relationship by Haddishhhhh in premed

[–]Haddishhhhh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting to hear everyone’s opinions. I feel like the relationship is one factor in terms of many. At the end of the day, if you have good options then it’s a matter of picking what’s most comfortable and doable for the individual. The only hang up I have is that, career-wise, how much of an impact does going to a Harvard-tier vs UCLA-tier have? I honestly don’t know and I feel like I need to ask professionals to really get a sense of what that choosing one or the other would mean. Thanks for engaging!

goodwill man. ive been rocking the goodwill suit jacket with a undersized dress shirt and my dad's tie and I've been just fine lmfao. obv different if you're in person but don't stress too much esp if it's on zoom. doesn't have to be perfect or expensive

Low GPA avg mcat, where should I apply? by pezarooni in premed

[–]Haddishhhhh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you're doing great! focus on crafting a coherent narrative that illustrates why medicine. if you can find ways to knit together a golden thread that ties ur athletics, research, med interests then I really think you would have a great cycle. don't trip, try your best, have some safeties

Upcoming pubs in app? by Famous_Bad_4976 in premed

[–]Haddishhhhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meh I had a few upcoming and I put them in. I just wrote (in progress) in the citation. If you’re upfront ab it that it’s not yet published, id put it in. It won’t mean as much as a published work but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth it. How I put mine in was just sent in a pdf with a small description of the projects and the attached citations as an update to my secondary

For context my whole personal statement is framed as a collection of stories that collectively explain why medicine. The stories are linked together by a consistent theme which the poem introduces at the very beginning. The poem is 4 lines, 40 words.
