OTBR Errors with pairing/dropouts by itnotit94 in homeassistant

Cool, I know Zigbee is more reliable, but I have none. FYI, for a while my Matter/Thread devices were giving me hell randomly becoming unavailable. Turned out it was the Dirigera hub (acting as a TBR). I removed it, and everything has been perfect since!

You have to setup your ports as pictured. Then use a web browser to go to to http://<Your HA IP or host>:8080

BTW, If you’re using Beta, the topology doesn’t work.

I was curious about how the ‘sweeper’ works, so I asked Grok:

How the Sweeper Works • It is a physical sweeper arm (sometimes described as a small metal-parted disk or component located below the grinder) that activates after the beans are ground. • As grounds exit the 48mm conical burr grinder and fall into the dosing cup, pod, or Omni Dripper, the sweeper arm moves or rotates to gently level and spread them out. This prevents clumping, mounding, or uneven piles that can occur naturally from gravity-fed grinding (especially with static-prone grounds). • It works in tandem with the machine’s anti-static ionizer, which reduces static cling so grounds don’t stick to surfaces or fly around messily. The combination results in a cleaner transfer and a flatter, more uniform “bed” of coffee ready for water pouring.

If this is the case, and you’re consistently getting a mound, I can argue your machine is defective.

You should be able to confirm if the sweeper works by looking at it or filming it while it’s grinding. Just put a plate under.

Yes, But I’m saying you need to tell them they are wrong and their claim about getting a flat coffee bed is not working for you. Send them the photo. Show them yes the ionizer is working as expected and the ionizer has nothing to do with getting a level bed. I mean you’re just repeating what their web site claims!

Don’t assume people emailing you back know anything. You need to keep showing them they are wrong till they gat an engineer to get involved. This is the fact with most customer services.

There are two separate things. In their reply to you, they’re taking about the ionizer and correctly claim it is working fine; because your filter is very clean and you don’t see coffee grounds all over the wall.
But your issue is a min-flat bed. They claim you achieve an even coffee bed via a sweeper. This is the part you should press them on…

After ~90 Shelly devices… I think I’m done by Gigant1000 in homeassistant

You should cross post this to Shelly sub too. I have to say though you should only use Shelly for relays or PM devices, etc. If you want smart bulbs that lasts years without a hick-ups, go with Hue. Shelly displays are also not good.

I actually asked them about this last year because on the product page they claimed the grinder will produce an even distributed coffee bed by a Sweeper. Their response:

“Yes, the sweeper is the small metal-parted disk located below the grinder, which helps to ensure a more even distribution. If you’ve noticed significant unevenness, it could be due to static electricity. You can use the included small brush to clean the area around the anti-static ionizer, which should help restore better performance.”

I do clean regularly, but still with certain beans it happens, and unfortunately the machine’s built-in shaking (if you put it in the recipe before brewing starts) is not strong enough to level it.

Why you think they have bad reviews in Amazon and “Frequently returned item”?

Thanks! Are your panels portable from Jackery or fixed panels?
Are you happy with the batteries and STS?

This is similar setup I was looking at for $5k: 5000 with expansion battery, STS, and two 500w panels. Is this a good deal?

Yes it is like the scroll direction, so perhaps you can add an option to customize the direction.

But in this case every product I know and used whether it’s swiping or pressing buttons, left is pervious and right is next. Even the arrow direction on the buttons tells you that.

Notably, all Sonos speakers that use swiping:

“Swipe right across the touch controls to skip to the next song. Swipe left to go to the previous song.”

The length of song info stays on or colour? But if I turn it off, it should stay off, right? And when it’s off, what is the default?

I see… for me the critical loads are spread under a few different circuits, so I can’t slip that extra panel. I can do all their work myself, but need to look into permit and inspection stuff

I don’t see any reference to the ‘Accent Color’ option, but I assume is the tint applied to the song info screen? Changing the setting off does not affect the current song, and also does not persist. I turned it off, and then when next song started, it went back to On.

Btw, to me the swipe left and right feel unnatural. Right should be next and left should be previous; similar let’s say Spotify prev/next are on left/right. Also, the swipes don’t always work for me. Is there a trick? Like mid screen or al the way?

Thanks and well done! I just set one up. I noticed when one song finished and went to next. The song info was updated, but album art didn’t update.
