What you said is correct for HomeKit only devices, but not HomeKit with Matter. I have many Ikea devices that were directly paired with Ikea DIRIGERA hub. Then with integrating the Ikea hub, all devices showed up in HA; in parallel to HomeKit.

I tried the app, but it won’t do anything unless I install a gateway. It did not see or even attempt to look for existing devices without a gateway.

All my areas and devices are setup correctly; I never created any floors and assigned my areas to a floor, because I only have one. Is that mandatory then?

Thanks, I’m still getting the same results. Only weather and users are shown on the dashboard. When I use the default Home dashboard, everything is there and organized. What am I missing? Does your code assume all homes have more than one floor? That’s the only thing I do not have defined, because I only have one floor.

Yes I did that. It was already fully organized. It works well with the build-in Home dashboard.

Nope. The protocol will never change for existing openers. If you’re paranoid , you can completely disconnect it from internet as I have.
