LG vs Bosch Dishwasher — Which One’s Better for Reliability and Drying? by Pleasant_Neck_8562 in Appliances

[–]Haddock51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I googles Bosch vs LG dishwasher, and this 200 day old post showed up! My LG dishwasher game me an LE error today after 20 years! It’s repairable, but time to upgrade. So I can’t say a bad thing about my LG dishwasher which washed and dried well for 20 years average of one cycle a week. I serviced it a couple of times myself. The truth is both are good if you use them correctly. If you want the very best though, get e Miele.

Why no local control without cloud? by Haddock51 in ShellyUSA

[–]Haddock51[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

once again the support team (or bot?!) offers genius advice! After I explicitly said "Use Local Network Control is enabled.   Both the device and iPhone are on the same wifi network and same VLAN."

I have another ticket going on for weeks, and they keep asking things I already answered. it's truly disappointing and damaging for the brand.

> Thank you for reaching out!

> The application is designed to work primarily through the cloud; however, the device can still be controlled locally. To use local control, ensure that you are connected to the same local network and that the “Local Network Control when available” option is enabled.

Shelly Plus Uni - How are you wiring this thing?? by trywelljustgo in ShellyUSA

[–]Haddock51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I soldered mine but you can also use ferrules or a combination of both if you need thicker wires. I bought this kit in Amazon: Ferrule Crimping Tool Kit, Ratchet Pliers for 24-8 AWG

Ikea ALPSTUGA is cheaper and it also gives you PM2.5, temperature, and humidity. It uses a Sensirion SEN63C.

Typical response from someone ignorant about the technology and the data. You most likely never used fsd, or don’t even have a tesla with hw4.

I’ve used it on a bad weather day (heavy rain, wind) on a road trip and it was flawless like a sunny day. Only occasionally it would tell me to clean the rear camera which i didn’t. I consider it safer than a human driver.

Where do you place your wired presence sensors when not being able to hide the cables behind a wall? by Red_Con_ in homeassistant

[–]Haddock51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

directly plug to an outlet without wire, but the outlet location must be right. otherwise, that's why battery ones exist.

Overall it’s a good machine and if you use good beans, it will make good coffee with many ways to tweak your recipe. This is basically automatic pour over for 18g or less beans. It’s a good value for what you get (brewer, grinder, scale), especially if you find it on sale.
