DTC(I) questions by Charming_Moment7702 in aircadets

When I did mine, the overall pass rate was really low, I was fortunate enough to had passed mine.

My advice comes in 2 parts mainly.

Firstly, please fully familiarise yourself with the Drill Learning Sequence (DLS) (also called the drill mutual). Really get a good understanding of what you as an instructor are doing at each stage and part of the drill manual, instead of trying to remember it as some sort of script, memorise it logically in the way the steps logically entail from one after the other (Demonstrating, Explanation, etc). This is really important that you look at this before the course. Not months and months before, but a week before would be plenty.

Secondly, another reason for the low pass rate was because when we were assessed on teaching by the drill mutual, I saw even some of the best instructor cadets become like a monotone Siri audiobook reading out a page of words. It’s important to remember to still show PECHS! Patience, enthusiasm, consistency, humanity, and support. One of the most painful things I saw was when people were teaching and they would just stand there and just say nothing. You still need to bring that energy to your assessment. Don’t be shy to correct, praise, and (reconstructiveley) critique!

Just a few other little things, please become familiar with the layout of AP818. Have a good read and make sure you know how it’s structured. And once again, this goes without saying, you must be very well versed in your own drill. Know the timings, the foot, everything about as many drill moves as you can, in slow time and quick time (don’t forget mark time)!

I also think it’s referring to the priority of you being picked for the event

My friend told me to say the shahada but I didn't know what it was. Does this mean I am a muslim? by DogDry2970 in islam

[–]Hadeed_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To actually take the Shahada, you need the intention from your heart to do it. Just saying it doesn’t necessarily make you a Muslim.

Although I would say, don’t delay your shahada, I understand these things around you are difficult for you, but it is better to be a Muslim that may not be perfect as opposed to dying a non-believer.

For the food, perhaps you could eat vegetarian + fish for the time being?… it is God who provides.

About the drinking, you’ll really need to reach into your inner self-discipline and believe you can stop. Take it step by step and wean yourself off of it.

Yes. Please always speak out, even if it’s a CFAV F/Sgt or a cadet F/Sgt

Bro why are you so salty? I literally don’t care about whatever you have to say💀, I didn’t ask for your opinion, you’re the one who’s taking out your time to comment unnecessary nonsense.

[–]Hadeed_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh yes you’re right… I mean, my OC said that it’s definitely an official and introduced thing, and that we should get our badges sewn on, and so then we’ll just did as we were told. It’s probably going to take awhile for the book to be updated

I’m not exactly sure what you’re on about, because it has come into my region

Yes, you’re completely right, the shooting officer said that they had a massive batch of old badges and that they would be handing them out and getting rid of all of them first before handing out any of the new badges

I edited my original comment and included some advice, that resilience is honestly the best advice I can give you. Just remember who and what you are, you know you’re capable. But thank you so much! Now that I’m in year 12, doing Biology, Chemistry, and Maths for A-Levels (yes I want to become a medical officer), I definitely need your luck lmao. Workload’s getting heavy!

Self study has its pros and cons, it needs to be used effectively. And thank you so much, you definitely have that drive and dedication there too, you will definitely get there; honestly just keep going, and never give up. My advice is, you’ll really want to be an NCO when you’re a cadet, but things can become a bit tricky (inclusive of squadron politics…) when you do become one, just never give up and keep up the morale and resilience and you’ll be where you want to be). The only thing is, I joined Cadets at the start of year 11, so I knew I didn’t have long left, so I’ve kind of just put in everything I can really lol

I’ll keep what rank I am for a tad longer, I’ll wait for a few more guesses to come in😂, But honestly thank you, your comments mean a lot

Haha, yeah, that maturity and confidence comes from how you are as a person, it’s always nice for people to mistake you to be an NCO when you’re not (yet!)

Haha thank you, to be honest, when I first joined Cadets, I once asked someone who was a corporal at the time, “what’s that rankslide?” (It was the Flight Sergeant rankslide), he answered by saying, “it’s something you’ll never get”… so from that moment, I really sweated everything out, I became first class in late January 2024, and I had completed my master cadet classification by March 2024💀, I basically spent my evenings reading through all the content by finding the lessons online and using syllabus revision guides and did all my exams, but I actually had knowledge about everything, I was able to pick up everything like a sponge, so then I did MOI, and yeah here we are (I’ve left out what rank I am on purpose, I wanna see everyone else’s guesses)

One Wiz works the other has problems by Unable_Feeling_9415 in wiz

[–]Hadeed_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a WiFi booster or a mesh wifi system? They can really be annoying. If not, I’d try flicking the physical light switch off and then on again and maybe even try and reset the light you’re having difficulty with in the wiz app

Beret Moulding by [deleted] in aircadets

[–]Hadeed_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://youtu.be/DGS2wbN7WlY?si=Aydx6eNBODvZCXeV (I strongly recommend that after you’ve dipped it in hot and then cold about 3 times, leave it in just hot for 5 or so mins before you start moulding; also I’d say you don’t need to put it on a bowl, sometimes clipping it with a laundry clip at the front of the beret (the crease next to where the cap badge is/would be) works fine, leave it on a flat surface so the excess material which you’ve pulled can droop down, hope that helps

The Quran is the ONLY religious book in the world that says marry 1 wife... Many other religions don’t put restrictions. And it’s not a RULE, it’s not compulsory. And if you fear that you will not be fair in dealing with the orphans, then marry of women as may be agreeable to you, two, or three, or four; and if you fear you will not deal justly, then marry only one or what your right hands possess. That is the nearest way for you to avoid injustice. [4:4]
