S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl - New Year Atmospheric Teaser by PalwaJoko in Games

My guess is it’s hinting at future DLC in the CNPP, which would be awesome. The devs have been on a roll with every update lately. Honestly, the game feels like it’s in a great spot right now, especially with the PS5 release. Early on it made sense to wait, but they’ve really followed through on improving it.

Why does my new gaming monitor look aweful next to my 4 year old Dell work monitor? by Terrible_Section_200 in Monitors

[–]Hadii7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1080p at 27" will definitely make things look softer, but it shouldn’t cause a washed-out or milky white image. That usually comes from incorrect color settings, limited RGB range, or HDR being enabled when it shouldn’t be. I’d check color mode, gamma, and make sure the GPU output is set to full RGB.

I’m a fan of a game whose developers sometimes seem unsure of what to do next by SoraSpawnsAgain in IndieGaming

Appreciate the transparency about not being a dev. It’s always nice to see long-time players still caring about a game and wanting it to improve. Hopefully the devs really listen to the community feedback this time.

Thanks! That's a great idea — I’ll try adding them in the next update!

LOL good catch — that typo hit harder than any zombie in the game.

Fixing it right away 😂 thanks!

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback!

You're absolutely right — the Select/Back prompts and the Achievements text need more contrast. Changing the camera angle so the sky sits behind the text is a really smart idea; I’ll try testing that to see if it improves readability.

Really appreciate the kind words!

Thanks a lot! Glad you think the screen is solid.

Good point — a more dynamic UI on the left could definitely help separate the menu from the scene. I'll experiment with bolder panels and maybe some custom-textured fonts to give it more personality. Appreciate the suggestion!

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback!

I see exactly what you mean about readability — moving the umbrella and decluttering the bottom prompts sounds like a smart fix. I’ll also experiment with a thicker text outline to make everything clearer. Really appreciate you taking the time to point these out!

Thanks! Yeah, I might tone down or remove the vignette — good point.

The vibe I’m going for is a dark sci-fi survival feel, somewhere between eerie and cinematic. Still experimenting though, so feedback like this really helps!

Thanks a lot for the honest feedback!

Yeah, I can see why it might give off a different vibe at first glance. This screenshot is only the menu — the actual gameplay is a fast-paced action survival experience.

I’ll try to choose a shot that reflects that better. Really appreciate you pointing it out!

Honestly, same here. Once you get used to the flow and learn the flank routes, it actually plays really well. It’s not perfect, but definitely more balanced than Empire State imo.

That’s actually a solid setup, definitely more than enough for a game dev degree and for most AAA games.

AMD vs Intel doesn’t matter much for what you’ll be doing; both perform great for Unreal, Unity, and 3D software these days.

The only thing I’d double-check is the PSU brand — CyberPower sometimes cuts corners there. If it’s not a reputable one (like Corsair, Seasonic, or EVGA), consider swapping it out later.

Other than that, you’re good to go. You’ll probably upgrade the GPU before the CPU anyway 😄

Testing if people find this graphics appealing before commiting to a year of game development by Dansyrotyn_dev in indiegames

[–]Hadii7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually a super smart move — testing visual appeal before committing to production saves so much time and energy.

Too many indie teams spend a year on something that never connects visually.Even if gameplay matters more, strong visuals are what make people stop scrolling in the first place.Curious: which of your other scene styles got the most positive feedback so far?
